“Ordered delivery but food was lukewarm , outer bag wide open , beverages warm, no ice . Their photo at pickup by driver shows bag on the floor which really was a shock. The restaurant staff shows no regard for the sanitary conditions of the food nor to the possible contamination of same by someone before delivering to us. “Overall, I had a good experience at The Common House Kitchen & Bar. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was comfortable and enjoyable. Most of the food was very good, although a few menu items advertised fries, onion rings, or berries as included, but they weren't. The chicken pasta was a bit disappointing and lacked flavor, but everything else we ordered was well prepared and enjoyable. I'd still come back and try more items from the menu.“

“Eclectic menu. While not extensive, there is variety with daily specials. We started with the dumplings and chili with beans. Dumplings and sauce for dipping quite flavorful in the best way. The chili was not too hot, and a hot sauce offered we we wanted more heat. The pasta and red was plentiful and delicious.“

Floor-to-ceiling dark paneling, iron ring chandeliers throwing amber light into the upper corners, leaded diamond-glass windows that turn afternoon sun into something quieter and older. A properly mounted elk presides over the room with the authority of a founding partner. The leather club chairs have earned their patina. The crystal is heavy. The ashtrays are serious.
