“Typical bar/restaurant with rustic decor and limited seating. Pizzas are typical New Haven style. The specialty pizzas are unique and tasty. We ordered 3 large, with two of them half-n-half. The waitress made a mistake on one. So, although we agreed to eat it rather than wait for the correct one, it wasn't what we wanted. Not saying it wasn't good, just not what we wanted. No harm, no foul.“

“Bartenders are messy, unorganized, and rude. They have lost bank cards, and given people the wrong cards back. They have no serving strategy to make sure all customers have been served, they kinda just look up and go to whoever happend to be across from them instead of making rounds around the bar. Very unprofessional. 5 stars just so this reaches and maybe makes a difference. Really truly enjoy the place otherwise but these bartenders ain’t it.“

“We were in CT from SC for a wedding! We went in on Saturday to watch South Carolina Gamecocks football game. The manager and Kasha were awesome! The manager put the game on two of the big TVs in the bar area so that all of us from SC could watch. They were so attentive kind and supportive of the Gamecocks even though we lost. The manager don’t know his name sorry, and Kasha were amazingly kind! We went back Sunday morning for brunch. Food and service were spot on!!! I don’t know that I’ll ever make back to Connecticut, but I highly recommend going to red heat Tavern if you are in that area! Come to SC Red Heat Tavern!!! “Club house on Main in Glastonbury has been a new spot that I have ventured to from time to time and found it always lively with staff that is equally lively, pleasant and attentive. Though there has been one server Nicole W who stood out during my last visit when I brought my kids to watch the Uconn game. I found her very attentive, caring and available before during and through out our time there. While our team Uconn lost we still felt as we won with our experience there under the care of Nicole. In fact we look forward to future visits in hopes we have Nicole W working with us again or someone with the same demeanor and even took the time to take a picture with us to seal the night!! Great experience!!

“We were coming back home, wife was abit hungry so we veered off the highway, and traveled into Ellington. We do remember coming here once before, but we don’t remember when. My wife had an apple fashion, and I had the Downeast black cherry cider. My wife ordered the chipotle, chicken wrap, and I had the still house burger with lettuce, tomato and cheese. Good food, abit busy but able to find parking has that more rustic feel inside.“

“A neighborhood spot that is often quiet but has its busy nights. Good drinks, good prices, and really good food for a bar. Mixed crowd but of the older persuasion. Wouldn't recommend for a very young crowd. Definitely 30 and older. Avoid Monday nights though. There is one bartender who only cares about tips and never about good service.“

“I had the pleasure of meeting chef Santiago in New Haven a few days ago and all that I can say is that this man overflows with passion for great food, creativity, and a mind for hospitality.

I have not yet had the chance to dine in at River. But I am planning to do so the next time I'm in the area.

We had a great and jovial professional exchange about how nurturing ingredients both animal and plant increases their flavor profiles and textures. From free roaming pigs and chickens to wild herbs and naturally fertilized starches.

“By far and large the worst chillis location I have ever been to. We have given this location multiple tries and every time we are disappointed. Not once but twice have left without being served after being quoted a 10 minute wait and waiting well over 30 minutes. If you can happen to get sat the food is decent although tonight even the food was cold.“
