“Hands down the best Indian buffet that I've ever had in the US. Thursday is their Dosa night where they have a live Dosa station along with South Indian staples served in buffet style. On the weekends they have buffet lunch ranging from Goat Dum biriyani to Haryali green chili chicken to their famous Tawa fish (amazing appetizer). If you're around Hartford or a student at UConn do yourself a favor and visit this place for their buffets. The restaurant is clean, they serve alcohol , service is excellent and the food is honestly to die for! I cannot recommend this place enough 👌🏼💯”

“Long Gut Miss Pinny is such a hidden gem in Manchester. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was great, and the service was even better. Everything tasted super fresh and homemade. It’s run by a mother and daughter, and you can really tell how much care goes into the food. The mac and cheese was so good, the Jamaican patties were perfectly flaky, and the pepper shrimp had the perfect amount of spice. The chicken soup with pumpkin was comforting and flavorful, and the oxtail and curry chicken were absolutely delicious. Definitely a spot I’ll be going back to. Highly recommend checking it out.”

“Found this gem when using Google to find a nearby sushi restaurant. Very nice staff, friendly and fast service. Food was very good. The kimchi tofu soup was a pleasant surprise to try, will definitely be getting that again. I love Boba tea, didn't dissapoint. Had the spring rolls for appetizer, crispy and flavorful. Tried our favorite classics spicy tuna and shrimp tempura, very happy with our experience. will be coming back. Don't forget your Sake!”

“I stopped in for Lunch and was greeted by a smiling staff and family. Huge restaurant. I was immediately served chips & salsa, the salsa was served in a nice mini craft which was a nice touch but unnecessary. The chips were thick and i was told, after asking, that they were made in house which i doubt. I ordered a 2 product meal called a Tijuana. I got a pork enchilada and a ground beef tostada. The pork seemed slightly burnt and overly seasoned, the tostada was fresh and crispy, unlike many other mexican restaurants of this ilk, and the rice and beans were staus quo. The plate was extremely hot which always makes me think pre-made and microwaved. Overall I enjoyed my meal and time here but it wasn't anything much different than most of the non-independant mexican restaurants I've been to.”

The portions were huge—definitely family-style! Honestly, one plate would have been enough for both of us, and we still had plenty of leftovers to enjoy at home. The restaurant itself has a beautiful setting with an industrial hipster vibe, warm lighting, and a fun flare that makes the atmosphere really inviting. Service was excellent—our server was both fast and friendly, which made the evening even better. For the quality and size of the portions, the pricing was amazing and very affordable. If you’re looking for a comfortable seating, they have seats for that you want separate tables. They have seats for that and if you just want to sit alone and read a book, they also have areas in the back where you can just relax and enjoy your meal”

Today I ordered a toasted multigrain bagel with cream cheese. What I received was a multigrain bagel with butter, which had melted and proceeded to run down the front of my new shirt, leaving four nice big grease stains. When I went in to get this corrected I was met by a manager who reminded me everybody makes mistakes. Upon ordering, a print out is generated to help the employees with the orders. I would imagine these are used in creating the orders. My order for today was $11.89. I gave the young man a ten and two singles. He told me I didn’t give him enough money. I told him to please count it. He looked at me like I was from another planet. I think I should have been treated a bit better in this shop. Gee, I am sorry, we will fix this for you. Your brand is represented here, and I love your coffee, but you need to spend, perhaps, a little more time in customer service and how to treat customers. I can always get my coffee somewhere else.”

“Upon arriving we asked if they had gluten free items on their menu. They Had. It was a separate menu but it was identical to the original with modifications for gluten free on ALL items they served. Our meal was terrific. Our server Jenny was outstanding, attentive and very personable. The managers took special attention in bringing out my meals themselves. “📅 August 23, 2025 WRITTEN REVIEW Big Al’s Reel Reviews - Ep. 153 Filomena’s On Main Street Town of Manchester, CT 🌆 Atmosphere & Vibe We walked into a great atmosphere - families around, a warm and friendly vibe, and a beautiful interior. The crowd was very diverse, which added to the positive energy and sense of community in the room. Inside, it looks amazing, making it a comfortable and enjoyable place to settle in for dinner. Overall, the atmosphere here was top-notch. 👥 Service Our server was Joel, and he set the tone right away. He was very nice, attentive, and friendly, checking in often and making sure we had everything we needed. The whole staff gave off that same positive, welcoming energy. 🍽️ What I Ordered 1️⃣ Buffalo Wings- Hot (10 pcs) - $16 👍🏾 👉🏾 Amazing, top-notch chicken wings. Cooked just right and full of flavor. 2️⃣ Buffalo Wings- House Blend (10 pcs)- $16 👍🏾 👉🏾 Same deal - perfectly done, flavorful, and backed up by a delicious blue cheese dressing. 3️⃣ Calamari (Appetizer) - $16 👍🏾 👉🏾 Crispy, fresh, and cooked to perfection. Absolutely amazing. 4️⃣ Hot Honey Chicken Deluxe Sandwich (with fries) - $18 👍🏾 👉🏾 Solid sandwich. Chicken was juicy, hot honey brought the right kick, and the fries were on point. A very good plate. 5️⃣ Chicken Parmesan - $23 👍🏾 👉🏾 Delicious and well executed. The chicken was tender and soft - I could cut it easily with my fork. The sauce was flavorful, the mozzarella melted perfectly, and the whole dish came together beautifully. A great chicken parm that earns a strong thumbs up. 📝 Final Take Filomena’s on Main Street in Manchester absolutely delivered. From the welcoming and diverse atmosphere to the friendly service from Joel, everything lined up for a great night. The wings and calamari were excellent, the sandwich solid, and the chicken parmesan was a standout. “Highly Recommended. I have ordered catering from them for 15 people. Food was amazing. Beef Biriyani was authentic Bangladeshi Tehari style which is rare to find and cooking was really good. On top, when i communicated with the management to place the order they were very cooperative cordial and easy to work with, the service received today made me even more confident about the restaurant in the future.”

If you are thinking of enjoying their food for a big gathering, I highly recommend leaning on their excellent pick-up or takeout service instead. A wonderful local spot!”

“Pizza Mia has excellent food! The owner and staff are so nice and welcoming. I’ve always loved their food for eating in or taking out. Now they serve an excellent breakfast. You must go there for yourself and try it. You won’t be disappointed. Easy parking in the back. Yum!!!!”

“Probably one of the best Spanish spots ive had since moving to CT!! Everything was super fresh and packed with flavor! I got a small order of yellow rice and stewed ribs and it was absolutely delicious, the ribs were super tender and perfectly cooked, even my 11 month old enjoyed the meal. I also got a side of Mac and cheese and that was really good! A little saltier than i expected but had so much flavor. My husband got white rice, beans and baked chicken which everything was well seasoned and the chicken had a really nice crispy skin. Everything was about $30 and fed us throughout the day”

“Nice tasting chicken fingers. Juicy nice coating on the outside. Simple place, simple menu. Not a fan of the dipping sauce. Wish they had other options for dipping sauce. Even has nice printed napkins with the logo on it.”

“These kids do a super job! The pizza was prepared & cooked perfectly, & it was delicious! It was on time & ready to pickup. In regards to the bad reviews I see here, honestly people, get over yourselves. Just because your breadsticks were cold or you happened to get a young counter person who is training & messed up your order, it surely isn't the end of the world. Also, if you're that scared about germs, & covid, please do the world a favor & stay home, nobody needs your hysterical, negative vibes. This location makes great pizza & I would go back for more.”
