Used to be an employee here years ago and after I left it wasnt looking to great. Been coming back every so often when I want some decent fried chicken because, I wont go to Popeyes or KFC. I can proudly say that the new owners are doing a phenomenal job with keeping the place as clean as a whistle and the food doesnt taste of old oil either. This was our first time going to Cheeks on our way to New York. Mohamed was friendly and welcoming to my daughter and I. We ordered two plates of chicken and waffles and an order of chicken wings. This was the best chicken and waffles we have had (and we have tasted many!!) we ordered some more to go so we can share with the family!! We also tried the Foxon park ginger ale . The lunch special is between 10-12$ with 5 options to chose from. There's 15+ different flavors. I cleaned my plate. It was so good and affordable. I haven't had chicken like this in a few years. I had to stop myself from going back 2x in a day. I can see this being my regular stop after church and maybe 2x more a week. They are open EVERYDAY! I had a 2 piece tender and waffle. They have wraps, wings, its a chicken spot so expect that.
