“Nice place, very quiet on a Friday night. The food was good just a bit salty. Their fried rice is not the best. I think they did the fried rice the way they did to mix it up with the sauce from the vegetables. I had better fried rice somewhere else. The shrimp had the tail which wasn’t bad, but would’ve loved to have it without it. Overall, not a last minute place to eat if you can’t decide what to eat.“

“Found this gem when using Google to find a nearby sushi restaurant. Very nice staff, friendly and fast service. Food was very good. The kimchi tofu soup was a pleasant surprise to try, will definitely be getting that again. I love Boba tea, didn't dissapoint. Had the spring rolls for appetizer, crispy and flavorful. Tried our favorite classics spicy tuna and shrimp tempura, very happy with our experience. will be coming back. Don't forget your Sake!“

“I went there today and my boyfriend and I enjoyed every bite of everything we ordered. salad was fresh, miso soup was tasty, steak and shrimp hibachi was sooooo good. the coconut shrimp was nice and fresh and crunchy. the scorpion bowl was perfect. all we needed was one and we was feeling nice. we was impressed with the cheap prices. with 67$ we both had a hibachi entree and appetizer soup , salad and a scorpion bowl for 2..... then we got a tuna mango sushi roll on the house... ❤️ You need to go and try for yourself.“

“We have ordered from Yang Zi Jiang many times, and it has been consistently good when it comes to taste, portion size, and quick turnaround. That opinion also comes after trying quite a few Chinese restaurants in the area.

On our latest visit, we ordered Szechuan Chicken and Crispy Tofu with Broccoli. Both were delicious. The Szechuan Chicken had plenty of well-cooked chicken along with peppers, baby corn, mushrooms, and snow peas. It was marked spicy, though for our taste it really was not.

The Crispy Tofu came with broccoli and fried tofu coated in a very good sweet and spicy sauce. Because of the sauce, the tofu was no longer particularly crispy by the time we ate it, and the pieces were a little too large for my liking. Other than broccoli, there were no additional vegetables, but the flavor more than made up for it.

Over our previous visits, we have also enjoyed their Vegetable Fried Rice, Veg Lo Mein, General Tso's Chicken, General Tso's Tofu, Orange Chicken, and Hot & Sour Soup. Thankfully, we have yet to come across a dish we disliked. The portions have always been generous and the food consistently flavorful.

One thing I especially appreciate is their surprisingly good and creative vegetarian selection, something I do not find at many Chinese restaurants. Their menu is quite large, and despite all our visits, we probably have not tried even half of it yet.

The only limitation is that this is essentially a takeout restaurant with no dine-in option. Posting this review only after eating here multiple times — and so far, Yang Zi Jiang has earned its consistency.“

“One of my favorite restaurants to visit, amazing staff and not to mention friendly environment. It’s a hole in the wall place, but by god does it have some good food. Solid prices, fantastic environment, superb food, literally zero reason not to try this place out.“

“I’ve eaten here many times. And while the food is good… the wait staff are rude and slow. Yesterday afternoon I ordered take out for the first time. I arrive home only to realize that the entire order was wrong. It was as if they just gave me whatever they chose to place in the bag. I returned to the restaurant with the order and was given no explanation even after I asked several times if they had given me someone else’s order. The manager actively chose not to answer my inquiry. The manager then decided to ring up my order again and charge me an extra 12$ for my order … never acknowledging how they got my order so completely wrong in the first place or acknowledging the time and gas I wasted because of their mistake or explaining that I was mistakenly given someone else’s order. While the food is good… the service and their attitude needs a readjustment. Frankly… the all you can eat in Glastonbury is better quality and much friendlier service. I won’t be back to this place and won’t be recommending it to anyone that I work with … which happens to be less than a mile down the road.

*** I’ve given this restaurant another try 3 times since my last post and all 3 times the staff have been better than they were last year. Today I spoke with the manager, Yoyo, and she was so exceptionally nice and pleasant. I told her how I’d been back in 3 times since my last post and the food was good and the staff seemed more respectful and attentive. For anyone reading this … I would amend my rating to a 4 star.“

“My boyfriend and I tried Poke Sushi in Vernon tonight! We ordered the California roll, the veggie roll, and the shrimp tempura roll with mango added. The rolls were made immediately as we started paying for our food. It was neat to watch them being made. When we sat down to eat; they were amazing! The ingredients were VERY fresh! Absolutely delicious! Highly recommend!!! We scarfed down the rolls and forgot to take a picture 😂“

“This place was so amazing, I'm writing this review in the parking lot while I digest enough to be able to drive home lol. First off, we went during lunch. It was nice and quiet and very cozy and i loved we were the only ones in there for a nice and quiet lunch since our baby was asleep. We had just came from Pumpkin Town down the street and i was really warm, the waiter noticed and offered to turn on the A.C for us which was the beginning of the awesome service we recieved. The menu had a variety of sushi and rolls but we went with something simple like the Shrimp tempura 🍤 and Chicken tempura. It was my first time trying the chicken one and it was soooooo good!!! We then tried the Hibachi chicken and shrimp from their lunch menu. For $15 it was the perfect portion for me and my fiancé to share after the rolls we ate. Everything was so good I forgot to take a picture of the food before we finished it lol. The staff was just beyond amazing and were constantly refilling our drinks and taking plates off the table as we finished. We did NOT need to ask for anything! I would absolutely recommend this place 1000/10!!“
