I had a house salad with ginger dressing and the miso soup which was just what I wanted and what you would expect. We also shared the Pepper Tuna Tataki ??? absolutely delightful. I must mention all from the dressing to the consistency of the kani salad, this wasn’t the generic all you can eat, run of the mill spot.The very nice lady that waited on us was very attentive and put care into her work. The Sushi Itamae delivered with a beautiful presentation and construction of the “Sushi Sashimi Combo 4 Us”. We finished the meal off with some fried ice cream and left happy and full. “A MUST. I'm from out of state and every single time I visit I ask to go here. Consistently delicious. My go-to is general tso chicken. Never a 'weird' piece of meat, very crispy and generous portion. We've tried basically every appetizer on the menu, all 10/10. Our favorites are crab Rangoon, and the spring rolls. The cocktails are very tasty, the lemon drop especially. Some drinks are served in fun glasses like a tiki! Service is great, very friendly and attentive. Never have to wait too long but I also like that the food doesn't come out asap too. Would absolutely recommend this restaurant and will continue coming back!“

“Yes, it's in a somewhat interesting location in a strip mall off the main road. I've been trying to find a place like this for quite some time. I've only gotten takeout so that's what my review is focusing on. It's difficult finding quality sushi at reasonable prices, and Tanpopo really delivers where it matters. The fish is fresh and has excellent texture. I ordered several massive platters of nigiri sushi of all kinds, and my family was really delighted with the taste. If I have any criticism, it is that their cut rolls are somewhat-poorly assembled, and tend to fall apart after a few seconds of being held with chopsticks. Their lunch and dinner specials are very reasonably priced, as are their "party platters" of nigiri sushi. The sashimi is of equivalent quality, although I do prefer to cook my own rice at home to eat with it (we recommend Tamaki Gold). Placing an order on the phone was simple, and we paid when we went to pick up the food which was ready to go at the requested time. Great service and pleasant staff!“

Everything was absolutely delicious. It came quickly, and was hot. The tempura (two shrimps, a carrot, and a sweet potato) were crispy, light, and delicious. The salad had the classic carrot ginger dressing I love so much. I like the ambience. The booths are pretty private. You have to walk down a flight of steps and it feels like you're not even in downtown Middletown. The menu is extensive. Almost too big. Despite this, I've never had something I didn't love at Mikado. They've done everything well so far. The service is great, good portions and a variety of options.“

“We came in for lunch on a holiday so there were not many people in the restaurant. Each of us ordered something different. My chicken lo mein was delicious and the portion was quite large. My husband had several sushi rolls which were fresh and delicious. One of my sons got the hibachi lunch and loved it. My other son got a teriyaki bento box.
