“My friends and I get together here about once a year or so. It's your typical garlic and butter hibachi joint. They pack folks in, do a little song and dance, then welcome you to have a nice day. The name of the game is turn the top and I'm ok with that. It's entertaining that some of the reviewers are disappointed here for the lack of a fine dining experience. I mean, they share a parking lot with a Walmart and giant package store. Anyone who manages their expectations should have a good time here. They keep the Sapporo coming and that guy likes to bag on the drum thing. You'll know who I mean. Enjoy.“

“This is the best sushi I've had in CT. Everything tasted fresh, and the presentation was really nice. The menu has great options for a good price. The service was amazing, and the owners were lovely. I couldn't finish everything so the owner packed it up with some extra wasabi, ginger, and chopsticks like we were getting takeout. We're already talking about going back with family.“

“We have been loyal customers of Bonsai for years, whether we’re dining in or grabbing takeout! My wife’s go-to is the dinner bento box, and I’m a huge fan of the chicken teriyaki dinner. Everything is consistently fresh and delicious.

“This place is a 10/10 for a sushi lunch. My husband and I sat at the sushi bar and enjoyed martinis and shared 3 lunch entrees for around $50. Our chef and server were both attentive and friendly. The bar has good chill date vibes. There were some patrons having hibachi on the other side of the restaurant and it sounded like a good time.“

The shrimp fried rice and pineapple fried rice are very good. I always keep a look out for who has the best orange chicken, and this place has it. Everything is well kept and clean, as well as the bathrooms. The hostess is exceptionally accommodating.“
