“First time in Newington and my first time at Steve’s Place! I stopped in for a quick lunch during an unexpected break in my day, looking for a classic Connecticut sandwich shop—and this place did not disappoint.
The staff gave me a few recommendations, and I went with the chicken cutlet grinder. It was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I was craving.
What really stood out, though, was the service. I’m not sure of his name, but I’m guessing the owner or manager came out from behind the counter, sat with me, and chatted for a few minutes. As a first-time customer, I’ve never felt more welcomed.

Great happy hour.The new bean and garlic dip is an absolute standout—creamy, garlicky, and loaded with herb flavor. Paired with their warm, homemade bread. We also got the Bianca pizza with shallots. The sweet caramelized shallots combined with the creamy base and crispy crust made it incredibly tasty and unique. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Casadoro nails that cozy yet elevated vibe, and the food quality keeps impressing me more each time. Highly recommend for date nights, happy hour hangs, or just a delicious Italian meal. “I've been going to TJ's for a little over a year now and have always had the best service. Their food is always made fresh to order and never disappoints. (The garlic parmesan wings, pizza and shroom burger are my favorites so far). This place has great vibes and I'll continue to visit until I no longer can't.“

“I am from England but have used this bar the 3 times iv been hear now since last January very good atmosphere the food is really good and reasonably cheap and very tasty and the drink is reasonably priced aswell love this place.
The staff are friendly and nice will definitely be using this bar every time im hear and just down the street from woodspring suites where I stay what more could I ask for 👍👍👍👍“

“I had a really great experience here. I made a mistake with my order (totally my fault), but the manager was incredibly kind and understanding. He replaced my meal for free, which I truly appreciated. The waitress was also very sweet and patient, and she handled everything so professionally. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers and want everyone to have a good experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!“
