“Stopped in on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch. The place was surprisingly busy. Service was great, attentive and food came out quickly. The portions were large and delicious. We each had a cocktail which was also very nicely balanced. I will be bringing my family here for gatherings.“

Best tartare ever and we are not kidding. Poached Shrimp Tostada was good too. Spicy Caesar Salad delish to the last bite. We finished with Salted Caramel Crème Brûlée which was well balanced sweet and flavor tasty. We talked with others at the bar about their dishes and those got good reviews too. So we are looking forward to coming back.“

“Came here after going to bingo Loco to finish my celebratory birthday.

We walked in within an hour of closing, so we were given last call. We were seated at a booth, but quickly moved to the bar where the bartender made our concoctions, chatted with us, and talked about the old distillery that was before the parlor.

I got the Smoke Break; mezcal, wild moon sumac, apricot, amaro del capo, lime and absinthe. It was very good, very smoky, but the perfect balance.

And of course, the birthday is not complete without shots! We ended up taking the sour cherry vodka, which is one of my favorites

I brought my friend with me from out of town and we were having a GREAT night with the bartender Dustin (who literally was excellent), and at the end of the night it was just my friend, the owner, and I. The conversation was calm and civil and fun and suddenly out of NOWHERE the owner proceeded to verbally assault us, calling us expletives and making us feel unsafe and unwelcome. We decided it was no longer for us and stepped outside, at which point he FOLLOWED US OUTSIDE and alternated between apologizing and cursing at us and begging us to come back inside until we left. I’m glad we didn’t go back inside as his behavior was erratic and potentially dangerous, considering we were two women and he is a much larger man. We were afraid and felt safer walking home (in Hartford that says something) rather than staying put. I’m bummed because I used to like this place, but it’s come to my attention we are certainly not the only women with this experience. Please be careful y’all.“

“Tasty food, but the service is lacking. My food came out wrong (the sever admitted it was wrong) and then she didn't key in a new entree so I had to wait 20 minutes before a new entree arrived. All of the other guests at my table were finishing up their food and they cleared everyone's plate as they put my fresh plate down. I felt very rushed. The service really took away from the dining experience.“

“When I asked at work where I should take my family for some authentic Pho, I was told to hit MECHA. we went today and it was superb! The staff were excellent and everything we got was top tier. The edamame, and mushroom dumplings were awesome appetizers and the Pho was awesome. I had the Pho King with the recommended greens and Thai chilis and it was the best lunch I've had in a long time. Zero complaints about service or atmosphere.
Now, the food:
1. Eggplant parm - great! And a decent portion for lunch.
2. Pasta (rigatoni) that came with eggplant - almost cold, severely undercooked (I do understand a concept of all dente, and this was not it), tasteless, and in a spicy (i should have been asked) red sauce. Disappointing.
3. Tiramisu - tasted great, but probably the smallest portion I've ever gotten in a restaurant... for $10.00, 2x2 inches is a bit too small.
Overall: I will come and eat there again.“
