“The service stellar. The food? Nothing to write home about. The burger and fries were fine. I know this joint is known for their wings, which I've had prior to this visit and the were a home run. So, I decided to switch it up. I'll stick to what they do best during my next visit.“

“We had my daughter’s baby shower at Lola’s. From the start of booking until the day of the shower. So easy to work with. The day of the shower, we were greeted with such warmth and truly our waitress for our party, Becky, was fantastic. Catered to our every need and was so beyond helpful. She worked very hard and was so pleasant! The food was amazing and plenty of it! Guests went back for seconds! Becky even went above and beyond for my mom who couldn’t eat something and prepared a new one just for her. Truly a gem of a place! “We've always go here for dinner. What sets this place aside from most restaurants is the great service from the owners and staff. They always greet you with a smile 😃 and make you feel right at home 🏡. We always sit at one of the large comfy booths and enjoy a great meal. They DO serve breakfast all day, and aside from the many tempting entrees on their regular menu, they also have a special Mexican menu! Visit once, and you'll want to come back soon!

“I just wanted to leave a review because the hostess Olivia, who helped us truly made our experience start off on the right foot. We were a party of five and came in during a busy time, but she greeted us with a genuine smile and made us feel welcomed immediately. She kept us updated on our wait time, answered all of our questions, and handled everything so calmly and professionally even while helping other guests.

What stood out the most was how attentive she was. She made sure our table was clean and ready before seating us, checked that we had everything we needed to get started, and treated every guest with kindness and respect. You can tell she takes pride in her job and genuinely cares about providing great customer service.

It's not often you remember the hostess after leaving a restaurant, but she made such a positive first impression that I felt she deserved recognition. Employees like her are a huge asset to the restaurant. Thank you for making our visit such a pleasant experience“

“We had an amazing wedding shower today at Sans Souci! From the beginning of the planning process through the event today, the staff has been phenomenal. The owner was great to communicate with and made sure we had everything we needed to make our event successful. The food was delicious and the service was attentive. Our guests really enjoyed the mimosa bar. Our plated meals were served hot and tasted delicious. If you’re looking for a space to host a private event, I can’t recommend Sans Souci highly enough. We’ve eaten here many times and can’t wait to return!“

“Good service with very attentive waitresses. Food is delicious and cooked perfectly. They do have size options for the pancakes so if you are not into giant pancakes you can downsize. Atmosphere is comfortable but not overwhelming. The price is a nice plus to coming here, even though they only accept cash, but that keeps their prices down.“

“I made a reservation here on a Saturday for a date night with my wife and we had a great time. The atmosphere was cool. The service and food were all very good. (We had Cuban Sliders, Calamari and loaded plantain nachos). It was nice to have a unique restaurant experience for a change. “I'm new in the Bristol area. One day I decided to come eat at friendlys and ever since I've been coming here. They are friendly here, the food is always fresh, neatly served and delicious. I love it and so does my 9 year old daughter. I'd recommend friedlys to others any day , and I do actually. My niece comes here too now with me all the time

Vegetarian options: I see they have broccoli and beef bites I haven't tried the new item yet but I'm sooo looking forward to it ! Yummy

“4th year being a non resident golf member here and I absolutely love it! The most affordable private club to join in the area and the amenities keep getting better!

The investments into the golf course, restraunt, bar area, and outside seating has gotten very classy! They redid the entire bar and dining room area. The makeover was much needed!

As for the staff, everyone at the pro shop at wonderful and genuine. Kevin, (head pro) is one of the best! His witty jokes and puns make my entrance more enjoyable each and every time! He is wise with his lessons and is a great teacher with the junior golfers. I took a package deal lesson with him and the results have helped me tremendously!

The assistant head pros are young and agile. Quiet and reserved but then I think some of Kevin's humor has rubbed off on them! Mike has been working with my son on lessons...with it being his first junior golfer also, this will help mold him into a possible early retirement job for myself to be his caddy! Fingers crossed!

Overall, I love playing here and dining in. Yes the prices are a bit steep but what isn't expensive nowadays...it is an older population majority but I see more young guns coming in to help blend the crowd!

P.s. I have gone and played some public courses....but I'm so used to playing on lush tee boxes, fairways that have all divots filled, sand traps that are sand....and greens that run fast and quick. Public courses seem to be wanting money rather than quality

“First time in Newington and my first time at Steve’s Place! I stopped in for a quick lunch during an unexpected break in my day, looking for a classic Connecticut sandwich shop—and this place did not disappoint.
The staff gave me a few recommendations, and I went with the chicken cutlet grinder. It was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I was craving.
What really stood out, though, was the service. I’m not sure of his name, but I’m guessing the owner or manager came out from behind the counter, sat with me, and chatted for a few minutes. As a first-time customer, I’ve never felt more welcomed.
