“The 1851 is turning into a regular hangout for us. Love the margaritas and all the food has been great so far — jambalaya, burgers, pork and rigatoni bolognese. Trying different dishes each time we go as everything has been delicious so far.“

A group of 4 of us were traveling through the area and needed a good place for Dinner …We called and made a reservation , the owner Al was very personable on the phone .We arrived for dinner and he had our name on table , and he introduced himself …We had a couple of beers while he explained the menu to us ….we Decided on a couple of appetizers and also a small pizza to sample before ordering our dinner . The appetizers arrived and were very good, but the star of the show was definitely the pizza , so much flavor … the crust was to die for light and airy and so much crunch in the crust !!!! Next was the Dinner - Chicken Francaise , Chicken Parm , Chicken Marsala , Fettuccini Carbonaro .All meals arrived hot and were Delicious …We also got to meets Al’s Daughter who was very personable just like her Father ….We wished we had this Restaurant in our community . “Went for a bite with our family last night. Our waiter Jackson was fantastic. Fun personality and very attentive. He was very engaged with my 5year old, which made my son’s night. Thank you for being so engaging with him. Food and drinks were good, service was fast. Clean atmosphere.“

“We had an amazing wedding shower today at Sans Souci! From the beginning of the planning process through the event today, the staff has been phenomenal. The owner was great to communicate with and made sure we had everything we needed to make our event successful. The food was delicious and the service was attentive. Our guests really enjoyed the mimosa bar. Our plated meals were served hot and tasted delicious. If you’re looking for a space to host a private event, I can’t recommend Sans Souci highly enough. We’ve eaten here many times and can’t wait to return!“

“Came in last minute this past Saturday with a party of 9 (4 adults and 5 children under 11) as grandson had a baseball game nearby. Was my first time. Food choices were very good and kids menu also had lots of offerings and their meals also included ice cream. I can’t say enough about our waiter, Matt. He was just the perfect server for our party, as he had children himself and totally understood how challenging it could be eating out with kids. He put the kids orders in right away. He knew just want to stop by and check on us. He is an asset to your restaurant and you’re very lucky to have him. We will definitely be back. Was a very positive experience.“

“Tenth Hole Tavern is the best spot for casual dining/takeout this side of Glastonbury. Their food is excellent and the staff really knows how to show the customers a good time. Kendall and Kelly are the nicest and are very accommodating. Not to mention the full bar, expansive beer selection, and wide variety on the menu. Some of my personal favorites include the chicken tenders (with their house made buffalo sauce), the buttermilk chicken sandwich, and the oven roasted turkey wrap. “I just went to Country Kitchen and bought 2 chili cheese hot dogs for my co-worker and myself, it was "hot dog" day after all :-) Our office staff has gone there many times and loves the food. The mom and her son, Dave are so sweet! Nice to see a family business. Not only do you get GREAT food, but great service with a smile! “We are a group of eight Women golfers that travel each week to play a different course in CT. Get the usual eye rolling looks from the men from parking lot, pro shop to the course and finally the bar. Some men are polite but they are few. Quarry Ridge staff went over the top to make our Tuesday golf experience relaxing and fun. Course was in good shape. Kevin in the pro shop attentive asking questions after our round to see if we had a good time and what were our thoughts about women’s golf. Poor Kevin got a earful I’m afraid. He was such a good sport! The chef came out and checked on our lunch. Talked about his menu. Very enthusiastic. It was a perfect day Tuesday Blue sky, cool temps, Great Golf and being with friends. “First time in Newington and my first time at Steve’s Place! I stopped in for a quick lunch during an unexpected break in my day, looking for a classic Connecticut sandwich shop—and this place did not disappoint.
The staff gave me a few recommendations, and I went with the chicken cutlet grinder. It was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I was craving.
What really stood out, though, was the service. I’m not sure of his name, but I’m guessing the owner or manager came out from behind the counter, sat with me, and chatted for a few minutes. As a first-time customer, I’ve never felt more welcomed.
