“Zaytoon Lebanese Restaurant in West Hartford with Ty. My first experience with Turkish coffee and it was superb. It's strong just like New Orleans coffee and Right up my alley. Our server was attentive, courteous, and efficient. He had a smile and a pleasant personality and was very helpful with the ordering. The food was hot and delicious. The lamb was a gift from the Greek gods. It was tender and seasoned and most flavorful with no gamey aftertaste. Everything you would want from a Mediterranean/Lebanese restaurant.“

I usually avoid fast food or shawarma spots because of my strict diet, but I chose this place for two reasons: they serve halal food, and during a snowstorm it was the closest option available. I’m really glad I did it turned out to be a great experience. I ordered the Chicken Salad Bowl with grilled chicken chunks, cucumbers, lettuce, chickpeas, hummus, and a variety of flavorful sauces. It was perfect for my no-carb diet and everything was fresh, tasty, and very satisfying. I’d definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a halal, nutritious, and budget-friendly meal. I’m an extremely picky eater and absolutely loved everything we got. This is also the first place I’ve been in a long time that actually had good salmon. They’re homemade dressing and marinate is so unique we went back in to buy a bottle after trying it with the complimentary salad we were given. 10/10 would go again!“

“I have never seen baklava and kanafa this big at restaurants at this price range.. it’s a bit dangerous for your scale and wallet. Had the lamb meal- I really appreciated the deep flavoring without overwhelming spices. It really felt like a nice home cooked meal! Would love to come back and try all the menus.“

I just think that it would be best if the tables were a little higher and if they turn the TV on or play some music to break the silence because it doesn't feel like you can have private talk when it's dead silence. I suggest something like a soft music may be with a show of Middle East paysage.“

“Great Halal food options... chicken over rice, lamb over rice, or combo. Gyros, fried fish, different sandwiches, and drinks available. Only downside I'd say is the fact it's smack dab in the middle of downtown. Otherwise, it's a spectacular deal for the current times.“
