“My favorite restaurant in New Haven. It's pricey but worth it. The Braised Pork Belly is AMAZING and literally falls apart with your chop sticks, that's how soft it is. I've literally had friends drink the sauce after eating that pork belly. It's so good

The curry with wagyu beef is also super tasty. Highly recommend. And their sake flights are really good too.“

“The staff is so sweet, the atmosphere is sophisticated for an AYCE, and the food is simply divine! I really prefer the airy and light peaceful interior here compared to other dingy and dark AYCE places. There’s nothing better than peacefully sipping hot green tea during lunchtime. Something small would be replacing the black window blinds with some nice light curtains. But high quality fresh sushi and sashimi should be the main focus“

“If you love great food, excellent service, and a trendy atmosphere, this restaurant is a must-visit. Our son, who’s a huge fan of noodles, insisted we try this place while we were in town, and it did not disappoint. The service was exceptional, truly going above and beyond.

To start, we ordered the KFC Bao buns and the red oil dumplings. The Bao buns were delightfully soft with crispy chicken, while the red oil dumplings were generously filled with meat and came with an excellent sauce. For the main course, our son enjoyed the Pho Bo Vien, which was said to be delicious, packed with plenty of meat and veggies.

“Sonobana is a standout among the myriad of sushi restaurants in the greater New Haven area. Not everyone can make it to New York or Boston for decent sushi restaurants. This is where Sonobana comes to the rescue. The interior is very tastefully decorated without the garish photos of sushi dishes or the marker board advertising specials. I got salad, friend had miso soup. Appetizers were salmon avocado Maki roll and Katsu. The Maki roll was creamy fresh. Katsu was very crispy outside, flaky inside. Both teriyaki dishes were delicious. I'll be back.“
