“Amazing place!!

Went to this place for the first time with my friends, and were originally drawn to the interior decorating. If you look closely, the lights are in the shapes of dumpling steam boxes!! Dumplings are their specialty, and the restaurant even features a look-and-see glass box called the “Bao Lab”, where you can watch, interact with the cooks, and even record the process!!

I ordered the crab rangoons and the brisket ramen, SO DELICIOUS. We also ordered the pork and crab dumplings to share, and you get a box of 6 for $13, which is pretty reasonable! Great staff, very attentive and personable. Our servers were Patrick and Jodie, and they took very good care of us!!

The only complaint I can muster is that the soup was a little cold, but that’s only because they wanted to ensure our food all came out at once!

Great place for a first-try or if you want to try something new, with delicious food, great servers, and a fantastic atmosphere.

“Pork fried rice and orange 🍊 chicken ,beef teryaki and its price right, excellent fresh hot The people that waited on me where so courteous with me and my Walker they bring it out to the car they held the door this place is really nice and atmosphere too So if you are disabled with a Walker or wheelchair it is a must go to Asian cuisine check it out“

“So this amazing place was recommended by a friend from Madison and it did not disappoint! Authentic Szechuan in a beautiful room with high ceilings and soothing decor and music. One dish was better than the last and you cannot get this quality anywhere locally as far as I've been to. Go for yourselves and enjoy. Somehow we received cheesecake and chocolate ganache cake for dessert complements of the place! Even better!😂“

“I was very pleased with the food 🥘 it was tasty, fresh, and the delivery service was fast .. I loved everything about it.. the only thing is that the prices were raised more .. I used to pay 18 dollars for a plain fried rice and chicken wing plate and a small beef broccoli and now I’m paying almost 22 bucks for the same order … I was very bummed out about this .. if they keep raising the prices I will definitely switch back to Golden Wok becouse they also have delicious food and prices are a bit more cheap..!“

“Food was wonderful and fresh! Staff were so friendly and kind. We have been looking for a new local place for a while and are so happy we found New Star. My husband isn't a huge fan of Chinese food but even he loved it! We got Rangoons, chicken fingers (amazing!!!), steamed dumplings (delicious), honey chicken combo, kung po combo, chicken wings, steamed broccoli, and egg and spring rolls (for four adults) - serving sizes are enormous and we all thoroughly enjoyed it! I don't understand the menu and it seems like there are deals but the workers don't tell you what they are. They’re hot and Sour soup is the best I’ve had in the area hands-down however it is very spicy so if you don’t want it spicy, ask them to alter it. Update I tried the curry shrimp and it was the best curry shrimp dish of any Chinese food establishment I’ve ever been to.“

“Great prices, generous portions, and amazing flavor!
I highly recommend the spare ribs here. My child always says that the ribs from this restaurant are the best they’ve ever had, and I completely agree. The fried rice and noodles are also excellent—everything we’ve tried has been consistently delicious.
What really made me happy was the service. The woman who takes orders remembered me, and when I made a mistake with my online order, she called to confirm the details. That personal touch truly meant a lot to me and made the experience even better.

“The food was excellent. My wife and I ordered soup dumplings, skewers, fried rice and the claypot tofu.

The skewers were excellent. The lamb had a good level of spice and cuts had a generous mix of rendered fat.

Soup dumplings have been trending lately but this place does a great job— skin is springy, broth inside very rich, and does not taste super doughy like a lot of dumplings in the area.

The clay pot, man, it brought me back to my childhood. It heavily reminded me of what my grandmother used to make me as a kid.
