“I’ve been thinking about Jia Mei’s dry cooked food. Today I tried the 5 Spice prawns which was served of a bed of warm lettuce, red peppers, and fresh sliced chilis. It was delicious, flavorful, colorful, and spicy. This cooking technique is a style of Chinese cooking which is hard to find on the shoreline. Yum!“

“I've read a lot of these reviews and they're really just overreactions. The food isn't gourmet level but it does taste great. It's your average takeout joint, but it works well. Most of the takeout joints like this one aren't going to be any different (or better!) than this place. Also, the disrespect to the owners isn't cool. They're just good people who are hard at work.“

“honestly can’t complain. my favorite chinese food restaurant closed a couple years ago, so my family decided to try great wall. they’ve consistently been very good and the family that runs it is super nice, you can tell they put a lot of work in as a team to get things done.
to people complaining about a long wait time, i can ASSURE you that it’s only because you’re going in at their busiest time. no place is going to be empty on a friday evening, especially a takeout restaurant. you can see them working hard in the back room behind the counter. food is well worth the wait in my opinion, though i personally never wait very long (i show up when they tell me my food is ready, not well before like you can tell most ppl who complain about the wait do).
overall i can’t recommend them enough. small town family business, hearty food, and kind people, what more could you ask for? support these kind people if you can🫶❤️❤️❤️❤️“

“Food was wonderful and fresh! Staff were so friendly and kind. We have been looking for a new local place for a while and are so happy we found New Star. My husband isn't a huge fan of Chinese food but even he loved it! We got Rangoons, chicken fingers (amazing!!!), steamed dumplings (delicious), honey chicken combo, kung po combo, chicken wings, steamed broccoli, and egg and spring rolls (for four adults) - serving sizes are enormous and we all thoroughly enjoyed it! We will be back!“

“The food was very good but the egg rolls were way over cooked. Sweet and sour pork and roasted pork with vegetables was good. Even though the egg rolls were dry and overcooked, the rice was actually good. It's the first time ever that any chinese restaurant actually cooked the rice soft and it had onion, pork and carrots in it. All other places the rice is hard and nothing in it. So, the food was great but they need to not fry the egg rolls to a dry inside to dark and crispy on the outside. We will be ordering from here again.“
