ordered online, had to wait an additional half hour on top of when my order was supposed to be ready. food all over table and floor, trash piled high and onto the table next to it. 20 other people waiting for their order. finally got in line to order myself instead of waiting on staff and chips to be cooked and got hard, old rice and everything else was cold. didn’t even finish eating it.

I can’t recall one single good experience at this location. Employees seem to think it’s funny and laugh with eachother when your order is wrong or not ready when you get there. The entire staff is consistently unprofessional, the whole location is as dirty as can be, online orders are never ready regardless of how long you give them and 98% of the time the order is wrong or they ran out of something and decide not to communicate that with you. Nobody is ever held accountable noticing this happens every single time. As good as Chipotles food COULD be, it doesn’t matter if these issues persist (which they do). It’s simply not worth spending money at this location whatsoever.

The management should be ashamed. I am not the overly concerned clean freak, but that Chipotle is gross. Filthy. Your workers obviously dont like it there and have no pride in the place. Don't redirect me to some corporate survey with your reply to this. Fix it!

Unfortunately the last 3 times we have gotten bowls from them and somehow our orders always get screwed up, so i dont bother to order a head

I have watched Chipotle Branford go drastically downhill over the past few years. When it was under Michael’s management, everything seemed to be running efficiently. It was clean, and now walking in there it’s a complete mess. The workers on the line don’t look nor greet you when you walk up to them they all look high and half asleep. The counters are always a mess, including the line where the food is prepared. The food quality is the only thing keeping this establishment going. Whoever is running this place needs to shape it up.

I had asked for a few sides and failed to receive them. Once bag was brought to the car it was wet and breaking. Steak was burnt. Use to be a good location but now it’s trash.

Franchise owner needs to visit. Tables are consistently dirty, found a food label in our food, and the employees do not care. There’s trash on the counter near the drinks, and I didn’t see any effort to wipe food off the tables. If this is what is happening in the dining room, what’s happening behind the scenes?

And no, it’s not understaffed. There are 6 people behind the counter and it is not that busy.

I used to love Chipotle, But lately? It’s like every location went on a team-building retreat and forgot to come back.
I went to two Chipotles in one day (don’t judge me), and both ran out of steak and grilled veggies. They made me wait 10 minutes just to tell me it’d be another 20 minutes while half the staff were just casually vibing behind the counter. Is there even a manager left, or are the bowls just running themselves now?
When the steak finally arrived, I thought things were turning around... until I took a bite of corn so cold it could’ve starred in Frozen 3. My teeth are still recovering.

It honestly breaks my heart. I used to be a loyal fan. But between the chaos, the cold corn, and the vanishing steak… I think it’s time we break up, Chipotle. It’s not me. it’s definitely you!

Chipotle
I was able to experience the Branford CT chipotle today, and it was an experience to say the least. Upon entrance of the vestibule I see through the glass a half eaten “burrito bowl” on the floor under a table. I thought to myself wow someone must’ve dropped that and is up getting napkins to clean it up. As I entered the second doorway to the restaurant I quickly realized that was not the case. The entire restaurant was a disaster. The 2 trash bins were overflowing. The floor and tables were littered with bits of rice, food scraps, and chip crumbs. It seemed like no one had cleaned in hours, or maybe days? The place felt dirty. The soda station was soaked. I couldn’t put anything down on the counter or I’d risk it getting wet. All the straws in their wrappers were soaked, and garbage was littered all over the counter. As I was surveying the room, surrounded by the mess, I now began to study the workers. 1 was standing around, literally doing nothing, he probably could’ve picked up a broom or taken out the garbage or wiped down one of the 9 tables covered in left over food scraps. Another was scrolling on his phone, while wearing food service gloves. And I didn’t want to know if he changed them or not before assembling someone’s burrito, I tried to tell myself what I don’t know won’t hurt me. And a few other workers were making themselves busy. Yet not a soul was cleaning. Everyone seemed nice so I felt bad thinking these thoughts. Until I tried my food. I ordered a lifestyle bowl that was a salad and I added“lite” rice and the carne asada steak. And a few other additions. When I got the bowl, there might’ve been 6 pieces of lettuce. There was more lettuce left over on the tables in the restaurant than there was in my salad. It was mostly rice, and a few slices of chewy, fatty meat. After eating what I could of my bowl, I was thankfully not far from a bathroom. It luckily traveled through me pretty quick. 2 other members of my family ordered food as well. Overall this meal was not worth the $50 I spent for 3 people. I was shocked by the state of the inside, and in reading some other reviews it doesn’t seem like ownership really puts pride into the way their store looks. Dirty tables, underwhelming food, overpriced — I won’t be back

Food was good as it is at most Chipotles. The restaurant itself is filthy though.

This location is a victim of its own success, and of being the only location along this part of the Connecticut shoreline. This place is literally always overly busy, to the point that the bathrooms and garbage are overflowing at all times let me run out of utensils and napkins and you have to go to the counter and ask for them. The kids who work here, and yes they are kids so please remember that, are trying their best. But they just simply can't keep up with the volume of this location. You could probably build a second Chipotle right next to this one, and they would both be full at all times. So, be warned especially if you are in a hurry or if you're super picky and are going to complain about the restaurant looking like a hot mess. I don't know if I've ever seen a manager at this location, or anyone who looks like they're over the age of 19, but this place would definitely benefit from more adult leadership especially when it is busy. It seems that they are directionless, despite trying as hard as they can.

I was overcharged at lunch, and when I pointed it out instead of apologizing they treated me with complete rudeness. They confirmed the mistake, refunded me but acted like I was the problem. The cashier was new which I can understand but the guy helping her was extremely rude, dismissive, and had an arrogant attitude. Unprofessional, disrespectful, and a terrible way to treat customers.

I asked to see the manager because the bathrooms are atrocious. One bathroom was out of order, but no sign up. The toilet was full of crap and toilet paper. The other bathroom, the floor and toilet were so dirty. I feel like we live in a third world country. No respect. I think chipotle needs to empower their employees to be responsible and clean their bathrooms and tables more often. It makes me wonder how sanitary their kitchen is. I love chiptole, I noticed the cleanliness has gone downhill at many of them. I travel for work, it’s a common trend.
