This is the best Indian restaurant on the Connecticut Shoreline hands down. The staff and owners are beautiful people who care about the quality of the food they’re serving and how they serve it. It’s a lovely restaurant. The food and the menu is a wow. I love the saag paneer and the chicken tikka maharaja, which is like chicken tikka masala on steroids. I always get it with the vegetable Samosa and some garlic naan. It is heaven. You have to try this restaurant. They will not disappoint you. My favorite restaurant for Indian food.

Absolutely delicious. Old location was better decorated but that is minor. Get the combination platter, it comes with appetizer, dessert, and a large selection of entrees for a very reasonable price. Best Indian food I’ve had in quite some time, and my favorite food in the whole state. I personally prefer it mild but it is good spicy too and highly customizable. Very great restaurant.
Lots of free parking and outdoor seating available. We had garlic naan, chicken Tikka masala and the vegetarian complete dinner...all outstanding and at reasonable prices. We took home enough leftovers for another meal. Service was fast and friendly and we were offered as much rice as we wanted. The owner was friendly and engaging and spent about 10 minutes talking with us. There is a reason that Darbar has been a local institution for so long. I highly recommend and will be back soon!

We tried the unusual dishes - chicken tikka quesadilla, chicken taco, chicken Tikal pizza. The pizza was a little spicy, but delicious. The quesadilla was ok. I would have like it a bit crispier. It did come with yummy masala sauce to spread over it. The taco was good, especially with the enclosed lime.
We also tried the classic chicken tikka masala (CTM) and garlic naan along with lamb samosas. These were all delicious although I prefer the seasoning in the Indian restaurant I frequent the most in the CTM.

Amazing delicious food. It was my first time trying Indian food and our server Sanjay was great !! I told him I couldn’t eat spicy food and he accommodated my request to make the dishes with less spice so I was able to enjoy them. Everything he recommended was delicious. We enjoyed our dinner, and we will definitely be back.
