we put in an order after an hour the door dash girl said she was waiting there. Then she was told they didn't have our order! This is after they took our payment. We got a refund but never again! No explanation or apologies and they just hung up. I will never recommend them to anyone!

Came for Mother’s Day, My first time here. This was a hit!! a very big hit! The service was amazing, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was so inviting & pretty. Portions were big & menu had tons of options. We can’t wait to come back! Well done

Had lobster shack 2 times both where take out. 1st Time was very good got the lobster roll and clam chowder lobster grilled cheese also very good. Went back a few months later not so good lobster roll and lobster grilled cheese very light on the lobster came tonight and all I can say is wow place looks awesome beautifully decorated for Christmas excellent food and appetizers wait staff was great also got an ornament and a 10$ gift card which was nice will definitely be back again

Lobster Shack is on my list for top 10 best restaurants in all of CT. First of all, the staff are all super nice and super friendly and I loved talking with them.
The decor. THE DECOR IS AMAZING. It took them 2 whole days to put all this Christmas decor up and it’s gorgeous.
And then the food. Wow. Wooooow. Their chef is incredible. And bartender. So I started off with a cousin eddy drink that comes with the tree cake and if you want an alcoholic bevvy, get this one because it’s a delight. My friend got a hot chocolate and loved hers as well.
For appetizers we split some crab cakes that were so flavorful, I was in absolute love. And some jumbo shrimp that were beautiful too. For my entree I had a lobster sushi roll and the flavor that came off the sushi roll was magnificent. My friend ordered the lobster mac and it was so tasty I wanted to cry. It was gorgeous. The lobster meat was perfect and the mac and cheese portion was as well.
Just a wonderful gem of a restaurant in CT, I’ll be back for more soon!

Well the restaurant is located close to East Haven Beach. You can see some waves from the front windows, where you also view dog walking and neighborhood members getting their walks on as well. Mostly senior retirees during off seasons. The blkened salmon was delicious. Real cheap with the lobster meals. It's called bait & switch i.e. the pictures in the menus look great, you see a lobster dish, it looks like the lobster is light & the price is in the trap. So don't be surprised if there's not a take home box for tomorrow's dinner, especially if your meal included what Lobster! It's not the price, it's a LOBSTER SHACK! Right? Local as you can get until outsiders visit for the summer.

While in Connecticut I had to try a CT style lobster roll. Although I’m not from the east coast and won’t claim to be a lobster roll expert I thought Lobster Shacks was incredible. It was a generous portion of lobster, super buttery and tastes extremely fresh. We also got a fried shrimp basket and some shrimp cocktail, skip the shrimp cocktail and do fried instead they were a lot better. Service was great, I would recommend stopping in if you’re visiting and looking for a quality lobster roll!

Amazing food, beautiful view & outstanding service. We had a group of parents & players from our youth ice hockey team & they put a bunch of tables together for us & were really just super friendly & accommodating. Would highly recommend & would definitely go back next time we are in the East Haven CT area.

Great lobster roll!! Do not pick the lobster flatbread -- soggy with cold lobster on top -- not a true wood-fired flatbread. Stick with the lobster roll!! Best around!

Great place we literally stumbled into on our road trip. One of the few seafood joints open until 9 as most tend to close at 7:30. Best shrimp sliders I have ever eaten, highly recommend. Excellent lobster roll and fries. The lobster flatbread and juicy lobster and a great aoli but the spinach was too bitter for the flavor combo of the dish...I think an arugula would have given it a little extra sweetness to balance the sauce instead. Inside was adorable with string lights for night and a second floor to view the ocean. The outdoor patio area has clearly not been used in a while which is a shame as if they fixed it back up could be a great spot for folks on the go who want to sit for just a moment. Great place overall woth great staff. Highly recommend the stop over!
