Great place by the shore, wished it was a bit warmer that day. The selection for lunch was excellent with many choices. I went with the chicken salad and enjoyed that with my Corona. The view is outstanding and right across from the ocean so it was great to have sunlight and an ocean view even if chilly. Really enjoyed my time there looking forward to to going back with others who love the beach!

I picked the Lobster Shack for my birthday dinner with friends. We didn't realize it was a theme night with a different menu and the lower portion of the restaurant was packed. We were seated upstairs. They were a bit inundated, but we weren't in a rush. I ordered a lobster roll (minus the lemon) and it was very good. Will definitely visit again.

We took a drive last week on 2/9/2024 and wound up in East Haven. After looking over the cute downtown and beach area, we lucked into The Lobster Shack. So very glad we did. This is a super cute two story across the street from the beach. They offer two levels of seating with indoor and outdoor available on both levels (in season). Our server, Jenna A. was very professional, friendly and helpful with the menu, offering suggestions. We opted for the Pastrami Reuben sandwich with fries and the Chicken Piccata along with a side salad. My husband noticed the lovely wine menu with wines you don't often see on normal restaurant menus. We opted for the Sea Sun Pinot Noir and the Sea Sun Chardonnay. Oh my, were they lovely pours, in nice glassware and very tasty. The ambiance upstairs had wonderful views of the water, was quiet and enough room between tables so we didn't hear our neighbor's conversation. When the food arrived, we were truly wowed. The pastrami sandwich was so surprising with hand cut pastrami, not the deli style so many restaurants use with the best flavor we have enjoyed in ages. The side salad was nice also with made in restaurant dressing. Then we tasted the piccata which we asked to be extra lemon-y. Spot on flavor, cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. With that in mind, we decided to look around and take some pictures because we were so impressed. They have very nice quality "swag" and I took advantage as needed a new hoodie and it was excellent quality cotton. Go with complete confidence.

Located on the shoreline in East Haven CT near Cosey Beach, LShack menu offers something for everyone! Me and my better half ordered their lobster roll and decided to share a bowl of New England clam chowder. Generous amount of lobster and tasty. Chowder was also very good but wish they offered the RI version (clear broth as opposed to cream) as that's what I was brought up on. My son and DIL shared Nachos and Chowder. They both said they enjoyed both. Finally, my almost 3 Grandson took a side track from seafood and chowed down on a hot dog! I'd imagine that this restaurant is quite busy during the summer but if you're looking for a great day out along the beach followed by a great place to eat, October just might be the right time to visit Lobster Shack. Staff was attentive and friendly!
