I use to love sky diner. I am not sure what happened in the last year but I ordered omlettees and gyro meals for my family. No seasoning on anything. All flavorless. The home fries are half raw and flavorless had no color on them as if they were hardly cooked. After years of eating sky diner I don't see me getting it again. Sad they use to be amazing.

Our family loves this place. It is open 365 days of the Year. Every single holiday. It's used to be a friendly's which is cool since I worked at 1:00 as a kid. Before it was this. It was called Diner 56 new ownership I guess. But the majority of the menu is the same. I'm originally from Long Island. It's hard to find good diners up here and this is good. Lot of Greek options salads, gyros, Chicken souvlaki, spanakopita. Plus they have some pasta dishes. Basically anything you could think of they have and if you want to kind of tweak items or create your own if they have the stuff they will and what I love is you can get breakfast all day long. Always have the nicest staff clean bathrooms. You can call ahead for pickup. Even my niece and nephews love going here. It's good since they're such a variety on the menu. With that, when eight people go out to eat, we don't have to go to one type of place that only serves one thing. Prices are extremely reasonable as well.

Vegetarian options: My mother's a vegetarian but she eats Seafood even though every single item isn't labeled. Most vegetarians know considering the fact of the amount of salads and wraps they have breakfast items. Also like you could get a Greek or Caesar salad and add shrimp or other fish to it. If there is like a salad you like that has chicken in it, you can swap it out. They're very accommodating. They also have some gluten-free items as well. Every time we go we bring Home doggy bags. We can never finish a meal. Today we both had the three egg omelets that come with hash browns which are real nice like the potato slices on the grill. No hunks of onion or peppers in that which I love. It's not like those oily greasy things that go in a fryer choice of toast. I had an omelette with cheddar cheese and ham. My mother had an omelette. I don't know if she had egg whites or regular eggs and it had tomato, spinach and onion in it and we both had mugs of hot tea. We went in like right around 11:00 end of breakfast right before lunch. Stay with me before other tables. Quick Service food, nice and hot and delicious. Obviously we took some time looking at the menu. I hadn't been there since November but my parents had been there with the kids. When you come into your left they have a easel like chalkboard that has 3-4 different specials of the day that are not on the menu. Plus what's cool is there's a counter right there with a swivel stool and there's a TV up there but it reminds me of things I've seen from the '50s and my mother. It resonated with her but we like the dining room if you've ever been to a friendly's seat for people. But if you're sitting in either of the middle sections, there's a divider that comes out, That's an original friendly feature. I remember having to lift that heavy doggone thing a million times lol & they can seat 8 ppl which we are 8 sometimes you know just me and my parents will go or me my mom in one of three kids or two kids but everyone loves it. No problems. Free refills on tea, coffee soda, so it's not like they charge you every time. So in total when we all go & it works out perfectly. We've never had a dish we didn't like or were disappointed in.. Desserts are good too. You can also call ahead For us to go order conveniently located off I-95 @ Exit 56 North of i-95. You can't miss it. It's in the shopping center right after you get off where there's a stop& Shop, a liquor store and like three of the stores across from the diner is a Dunkin Donuts as well. And if you try it, you'll like it. Another great place is the hidden kitchen on route 80 in North Branford but they're closed 2 days a week. Limited hours but they have delicious food mom and pop owned.

Parking: Lots of parking. Lots of handicap spaces. Both men's and women's restrooms have two stalls. My father told me about the men's room as well as my two nep

So is my first time here
Would have enjoyed my dinner a little bit more if I had not had to listen to the waitress gossip the entire time
Like I get it You have conversation with your co-workers and between By yo do it in the back Not out in the dining area next to your customers or at least go find a table furthest away from Everybody not right there in front of Everybody
And the only time she would check on guests But when a new guess came in and she sat them The guy next to me waited for like I don't know 15 minutes maybe more To get his coffee She never came around to check on the customers other than bringing out food or a new guest and if there was no new guest good luck Friendly polite food was good but yeah a little lacking On attention and it wasn't like I i came hear to hear all about the intricacies of working at this diner but what ever if the boss is cool with it next time I'll just stay at the truck stop or have stop and shop deli

It's a nice place to sit at night and study or work. The food is good the menu selection is very large. In the mornings this place is popping and it's like an hour wait on a weekend. However, at night it's nice and calm. Not that the wifi is what they are "selling" but it took me about 15 minutes to get connected for some reason. Yet once I was on, the signal was strong.
The large photos of local branford are really super cute and I love the history of it.

I hate too say it
But
The food PURLY SUCKED !!!!
Absolutely zero taste to my food
No seasoning no nothing
No, I do not have Covid
Yes, I can taste things especially food

I was very disappointed
I am in the area delivering down the street every two weeks and was looking for a good place to get as close to the home-cooked meal as possible

I don’t see how they get any business at all the way their food has zero taste

I ordered the Mexican quesadilla .

I wish I had looked at the reviews a lot better before I went there

Everybody with bad reviews seems to be saying pretty much the same thing I say

So that leaves me with only one thing on those good review reviews they have
Either the people are lying, they got rid of a good cook, or the only good comments are family members , friends and/or employees

Go eat a pile of dog crap it has more flavor

Waittress was pleasant. Place was clean. 2 meals ordered, both were questionable as to freshness Roast beef lots if it but color was sortof gray. Meat was dry and unseasoned. Bread seemed stale, yet was toasted. Next was liver with bacon and onions. Onions were only ingredient that was warm and apparently fresh. Bacon was cold and tasteless, seemed old. Liver was cold and dry. Bread was toasted and also seemed to be originally stale. Dry, tasteless sandwich. Horrible fist (and last) impression.

Food was as dry as sand. Had roast beef sandwich. No mayo; not tasty. Roast beef was dry as you could make it. Bread was as if stale and later toasted. Awful!!! If you could have lettuce and tomato dry; this diner succeeded.
