Som Siam is the BEST Thai food I have ever eaten! (And trust me when I say this...my family knows I am very picky about Thai!) We've known Linda, the owner, since her grand opening of Som Siam in 2002 (Guilford location). Walking into her restaurant always feels like a sensual escape to a Thai oasis: beautiful portraits on the wall of lotus blossoms, the golden statue fountain by the entrance, and the vivid orchids adorning the restaurant. And that's only the ambience! Som Siam's Thai food is nothing short of extraordinary and authentic: with appetizers like classic spring rolls and curry puffs in assorted sweet and savory sauces, my taste buds sing with pleasure and contentment. For main courses, definitely try the Massamun Curry, the tofu noodles with chicken and bok choy, and Drunken Noodles. You will feast like a King/Queen! :)It has been so special dining at Som Siam for nearly 20 years--this restaurant is a cultural staple for the shoreline community, and I truly hope others will venture outside their comfort zone to enjoy such tasty Thai! Branford Som Siam is hands down my favorite Thai restaurant of all the different ones i’ve tried. the staff are so very friendly and the food is SO GOOD! everything is prepared with care and looks great but tastes even better. i frequently get take out here and can’t wait until covid is more under control and we can eat inside once again. not only are the food and workers wonderful, but the restaurant’s atmosphere is very cozy and relaxing! Branford Som Siam is a must have

I drive semi truck and its hard to find a good thai food place. This place is AWESOME!Our noodles didn't clump together and the flavor was spot on.If we end up here again this will be our spot!Second time this week ordering and I love it❤

Everything was bad, the food, terrible service and not very clean. Our waiter hardly spoke a word and gave very bad service. We had spare ribs for an appetizer, they should have been called spare knuckles because you got 6 the size of quarters, very tough.

The Tom Yum soup was horrible. It's way too sweet, like a desert. Probably they put a pound of sugar in each portion.
