I haven’t been there in a while but the beer selection was great and the bar staff super knowledgeable and friendly. I just read about the renovation so I’ll be coming by soon. W moved out of the area for a few years but we’re back. Looking forward to coming in. Cheers!

The beer is Fantastic!!! I had 2 Poseidon's porters and a Hero pilsner..... the porter was one of the best I've ever had...The pilsner was solid, but not outstanding. STILL it was better than anything you'll buy at the store... what really stands out is the food!!!! I had a pastrami sandwich with garlic truffle fries....all I can say is.... OMG!!! It was Soooooooooo GOOOD!!!! Stop in and check these guys out!!! You won't be sorry!!! Great service a

Love this place, been going since 2020. Has had several menu changes over the years that have been great BUT was there this week and no more blooming onion?? I’m still going to keep coming obviously but gotta bring it back

So apparently the published hours are just a suggestion? I have been to Thimble Island before and things have been good. Tonight, however, was a different story. Supposedly they were supposed to be open until 10:00 pm on Thursdays; so when I arrived at at quarter to 9:00, I felt that I should have been good. Apparently I wasn't and the staff had closed the bar more than an hour before posted closing time [despite the sign in the front saying "We are open"]. When I asked a worker about the hours to confirm them [I could have been wrong and I could have misread the posted hours on Google], I was told that they were reevaluating their hours because it was winter. I totally get having seasonal hours, but please let the public know that your hours have changed! I was also made aware of the recent closing of Thimble Island's Old Saybrook location; I wonder if this same style of mismanagement influenced that at all? Regardless, tonight was a poor experience and I had a poor interaction with the staff. I wish them the best of luck but I will no longer go out of my way to patronize Thimble Island anymore.

Great beer. But absolute crap service. We were skipped five times and had to walk out

Ok so went and met few friends last night here and had a bad experience. Sandwich was awful. Couldn't pick it up to eat it. No bread for bottom and all soggy. Veggie burger. Salad was 100 percent chickery,which is not lettuce it's for garnish only! Then place was full and men's and woman's bathroom over flowed with feces and sewage flies flew out into dining area in our faces! I actually got one in my eye! Absolutely disgusting! They said if you need a bathroom go to Dunkin donuts or gas station! I left upset and wanting to throw up. All you could smell was poop. Another restaurant that's got issues and charging to much for not enough. Three girls on to like 65 people. Won't be back!!

Where does one start?
Zero stars! Sunday afternoon almost empty no patrons ( should've been a good indication to find somewhere else to go) i didn't. Waitress starts off we are out of this that and the third, our pizzas are not like other places there are men.
Go to order and was told they don't have cod. At this point I asked if the old saybrook location would be better. Paid $7 for 3 flat sodas and they couldn't offer to ho cups.
When a establishment has zero business at 3pm on a Sunday that's a tell tale sign of a bad run place.

When we walked the host barely looked at us, gave us the menus and told us to sit wherever we wanted. We we're sitting at our table for 15 minutes, we were ignored the entire time, the one and only waiter served tables that came after us, we tried to get the waiter's attention but once again we were ignored so we decided to get up and leave.

Great local brews and great staff. Jack is one of my faves and just met her. They also have cool events like the pup painting nights I can't wait to go to

Great beer, and the food will “wow” you too. Lamb burger is an all time burger. The staff is awesome. Overall a very mellow, laid back vibe too.

Update: 12/2024. Staff here rocks. Food is incredible. Beer always hits the spot. Premier brewery.

Disappointed that they cut their caprese panini in half and are selling it for the same price. When you buy an entree in the past and then decide to further support a business by going back for the same entree, you expect the same quality and same portion. Wasn’t satisfied with a half of panini
