This was our first experience dining at 29 Markle Court and was the catalyst for our desire to continue visiting in the future!!
Catherine greeted us on our arrival and was a thoughtful, knowledgeable, and positive presence throughout the evening.
We were originally intending on some simple refreshment at the outset, but...Catherine recommended several of their creative "mock-tails" and, wisely, we followed her lead. They were delicious. There were two drinks delivered - a hibiscus-themed libation, and a pineapple/ginger/turmeric combination, which immediately became favorites to be remembered.
Our first course consisted of a rather ample Caesar salad, dusted with panko crumbs and an umami-like parmesan confetti. Also...perhaps the best roasted beet dish, ever, was served in a small tower, highly chopped with inclusions of herbs, mustard seed on the surface, and walnuts. I've had "beet salads" at many restaurants, but this one rose to a higher plane.
This was followed by two orders of short ribs, which were prepared to perfection - sporting a thoroughly flavor-filled crust with an absolutely pliant, melt-in-your-mouth interior. This delicious preparation was plated atop a potato purée and served with a nest of braised savoy cabbage.
Catherine was a delightful presence who kept a respectful distance as we ate, but always chose the perfect moment to check on our satisfaction
The meal was topped off with an elegant expresso and an apple tart / vanilla gelato dessert that was the perfect ending to a perfect meal.
Finally... the restaurant chef-de-cuisine, Damian, came over to the table for a professional introduction and an inquiry about the quality of our experience. Damian is a talented, wonderful chef!!
We were delighted to also notice that 29 Markle Court was a close-knit, black-owned, elegant, and upscale restaurant, whose owners and staff we wish many years of happy success.

Hidden gem of Bridgeport downtown!! This place is awesome- vibe is very chill, staff is knowledgeable and friendly, food is excellent- a perfect smattering of French, Italian, Caribbean, and African flavors and a wealth of excellent options from beef short ribs to fried chicken sandwiches to fresh crab pesto tagliatelle. The sangria was superb. Can't wait to come back here and try the jolloff rice and shrimp and grits!!

Went this evening with a friend and we shared 3 small plates (black rice crab balls, broccolini & carrots) and one main (Farro Cacio e Pepe & Wild Mushrooms). Everything was unbelievable, great detail to each dish, the flavors were exceptional. Not only did we enjoy every dish we ordered we have made a list of what we will order next time! Biggest value add to my experience was the chef came out and stopped by each table not once but twice to check in on how everyone was enjoying their meal. Made us feel as though we were “regulars” when it was actually our first visit.

Please subscribe to my YouTube channel aboricualifeinusa and Tiktok. The place was a bit crowded. My food took a bit to make but the Service was excellent.the Chef made his rounds and personally apologized for the wait. Nice touch from him. Had a burger which was great.Could have used a bit more ketchup for the fries but all in all no issues. Will give them another try. Also, the place was a bit dark in lighting for my taste.

This place is fantastic! I've been to every upscale place in Fairfield County and this place tops them. The atmosphere, the service, the cocktails, and of course the food! No long waits, fair pricing too! Amazing. I won't stop going until I've tried the whole menu. Hats off to Chef Damon and the entire staff.
Vegetarian options: Basil pesto pasta, carrots and fantastic brocolini!

This restaurant is fantastic! The drinks, appetizers, and main plates were all among the best we ever had! The service was impeccable and the selection was wonderful. The chef is very talented and his range is amazing . What a wonderful addition to Bridgeport!
Tried 29 Markle Restaurant for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed the food, ambience and diversity in the upscale clientele. Very pleased. The food came out hot and fast. Tried the Caesar salad, lamb chops and halibut & chocolate cake. Ginger beer drink cocktail and mango mojito. The restaurant is nicely appointed and chef Damon came out to each table and checked on various patrons. Very good food and will definitely be back.

If you are looking for something a little different with spectacular flavors, this is a great place to try out. They have an eclectic menu with original flavors, we loved our food and drinks!
Never disappoints . Always a warm welcome, staff is always kind and polite . I needed a few drinks and a good dine . First I ordered the curry mussels appetizer . It came with a glass of wine for extra 4 bucks. Not a bad deal. Those mussels were so very good !! The light coconut flavor in the curry , awesome. The bread on the side great for dipping. For my main dish I ordered the spaghetti Alfredo add the shrimp . Alfredo made from scratch wonderful taste. I had a drink to end my dine . Old money with a half and half salted rim. Good time , always satisfied .

Three Stars Michelin Quality Food at 29 Markle Court with its New American Cuisine is outstanding in City of Bridgeport, CT. Dinner for four, two couples. The oysters 🦪 🦪 were unique and delicious. Our international guest said they were best she has ever eaten! My husband’s entree was lamb 🐑 chops, which was a small plate, One had scallops in risotto, another ate the house made 🦐 shrimp ravioli and short rib for me! Two had oysters to start, one had the beets and one the huge Cesar Salad. Yum! Complimentary chocolate cake to celebrate a birthday. The Chef Damion and the Owner came over to our table to make sure everything was grand. It was. Wow! What a great night.

The Park City has long been known for its cultural vibrancy and rich industrial past, but its dining scene has often lingered in the shadows of neighboring culinary hot spots. That is rapidly changing, thanks to the arrival of 29 Markle Ct, a restaurant that embodies both an elevated approach to modern cuisine and the warm, welcoming spirit that defines Bridgeport’s resurgence.
From the moment you step inside, you sense something special: the walls are adorned with eclectic artwork, and the atmosphere positively hums with convivial energy. The friendly, attentive staff greet you like old friends, deftly guiding you to your seat and making you feel at home before you even see a menu.
Once you do, prepare for a feast of thoughtfully composed dishes that celebrate locally sourced ingredients. The Caesar Salad, a seemingly simple staple, arrives with crisp Gem lettuce, toasted panko, and perfectly aged Parmesan—a testament to the kitchen’s belief that impeccable ingredients, handled with skill, can transform even the familiar into something revelatory.
Then there is the Lobster Ravioli, a standout creation nestled in a robust bouillabaisse sauce so reminiscent of Marseille that you might momentarily forget you are dining in Connecticut. Silky pockets of pasta reveal succulent chunks of lobster, while the fragrant, oceanic depth of the sauce hints at the kitchen’s deft hand in melding classic techniques with local bounty. The result is a dish that is as luxurious as it is authentically flavorful.
While the menu brims with crowd-pleasers (smoked delicacies, seasonal vegetables, and comforting classics), it is the restaurant’s affable ambiance that truly sets it apart. Seamless, enthusiastic service underscores the warmth that 29 Markle Ct brings to the table: you feel as though your enjoyment of each course is a shared achievement.
With a commitment to quality and a heartfelt embrace of its surrounding community, 29 Markle Ct easily ranks among the top restaurants in Fairfield County. More than just a place to dine, it is a beacon of Bridgeport’s ongoing renaissance—one that beckons both curious locals and traveling epicureans to experience the evolving flavors of the Park City. After a meal here, you leave not just sated, but also hopeful for the future of this ever-rising culinary gem.
