She was welcoming and made sure the juices were bagged properly with a napkin so the glass bottle would not break . Both juices were delicious, and the ginger wasn’t overpowering. I am admittedly a bit of a sandwich snob, and Michelle's porchetta special did NOT disappoint. As a matter of fact, she was so genuinely charming and sincere in her description of it, that all three of us ordered the exact same thing, and the full-size grinder at that. This was a BIG sandwich, even by my standards, and the components were all top-notch. Somehow, the meat was still juicy and tender, even sliced thin and griddled on the flat top. The provolone was melted nicely, and the marinated peppers had just enough bite to balance the richness. She gave us a cup of au jus for dipping as well, which was greatly appreciated. Taste and value aside, Michelle may just be the start of the show. Her hospitable kindness and welcoming spirit made the food even better, to the effect that we were already planning our next visit before we even left. I had the baby arugula salad special to start, & it was so tasty & the perfect beginning before having an old favorite of mine, linguine with white clam sauce. My hubby really enjoyed the Spiedina Romano which is a kicked up mozzarella appetizer that if he fully polished it off, he wouldn't have ate his Chicken Piccata then tangerine sorbet afterwards! Don't worry, we brought home leftovers to enjoy! Topping off things was a surprise singing of "Happy Birthday" when my tartufo came out! Reservations are strongly recommended especially for dinner, but Ralph 'n' Rich's is a gem that's had staying power in Downtown Bridgeport for many years. Go there & enjoy!”

I did not see any vegetarian or seafood options on the menu, so walked over and asked if they could make an enchilada platter with all veggies no meat. At first, the girls at the counter were not sure because they needed to check with the cook. After a bit of back/and forth they accommodated my request. As I was placing my order, the girl asked if I wanted it with salsa verde or roja, and she let me taste both sauces. I went with the salsa verde, top notch fresh tasting. I was a bit skeptical how the food was going to taste because of the confusion when placing the order, but let me tell you the enchilada with the salsa verde rice and beans was DELICIOUS. Served with a side of lettuce, avocado and lime and she offered sour cream and hot sauce and I got both. Hot sauce was also very good! The enchilada, to my surprise had all the veggies, filled with zucchini, cauliflower, mushrooms, onions and ofc peppers. I was hugely impressed and price point at $20, I would say is average for a dinner platter these days, but for a vegetarian dish with no meat I think was a bit on the pricier end. I would have given 5 stars but because of the confusion in trying to place the order and no vegetarian or seafood options listed on their menu giving it a 4 star. Still, I will definitely be going back and hopefully they will expand their menu to add vegetarian options or at least shrimp tacos to their menu would be great!”

“This review is a part of my quest to visit all CT breweries. I had only heard about Foolproof before, but this was my first visit to the brewery.

The brewery is located in an industrial zone. It has a decent parking lot across the street. The brewery occupies its own big building. You're immediately greeted with an awesome artwork depicting a jester. Behind the gates is a patio area with its own limited set of taps. The main brewery is located inside on the 2nd floor (an elevator is available). The indoor space is huge. So huge, in fact, that it hosts a car on display. I've only been to one room, but I'm pretty sure that there is at least one more available for parties. The atmosphere in the space is great. There is an on-site kitchen, so you can order food. I got shrimp tacos, and they were tasty.

The beer selection is great. There were 14 taps during my visit. You can order a flight of 4 beers, which allowed me to try almost every beer for this review. I enjoyed almost all the beers. I appreciate the selection of pilsners of multiple substyles. But my most favorite beers for the day were Pickleodeon (gose) and Swirl Pop (fruited sour). I rarely pick these styles as favorites, but I loved how mouthfeel they were.

All in all, I will definitely recommend this brewery to anyone. You can hang out in a cool space, participate in their events, or just drink some good beers.”

We chose red velvet and chocolate, and both flavors were moist, rich, and perfectly balanced. You can truly taste the love and care that goes into their baking.

“We popped in on a hot day for a cold treat. We got a Pina colada and a scoop of chocolate ice cream ($10). The Pina colada was huge and tasty. We will be back to try the smoothies! The fresh fruit looks amazing too!”

“I placed an order online on Monday, not realizing Contigo Peru was closed for the day. Unfortunately, the online ordering system was still accepting orders and processed my payment, so I was definitely disappointed when I realized they were closed.

When I stopped by on Thursday, I honestly only wanted to confirm that they had been closed before submitting my refund request. The owner took the time to explain that he had been short-staffed and unfortunately had to close that day. He was incredibly apologetic and had already submitted tickets to the ordering company to help get my refund processed.

He was also more than happy to accommodate the part of my original order I had really been looking forward to — the Chaufa de Pollo. I patiently waited while he made it fresh, and the service was speedy, the food came out piping hot, and it was absolutely worth the wait.

Things happen, especially with small businesses, but the way someone handles the situation makes all the difference. I really appreciated how kind, transparent, and accommodating he was. After finally getting to try the Arroz Chaufa de Pollo, I can happily say I’ll be back! ❤🇵🇪”
