“If I could, I'd give this 3.5 stars. The Service was ok, but nothing special. The prices are not cheap, we paid $94 for 2lbs of blood sausage, 8 potatoes balls, 1 mofongo and one plate of dine in food, but it's not as pricey as other places either.Parking is tight as it is a busy place, though it's high turnover. The place is pretty clean and open spaced. The food is nothing particularly special, but it is mostly made fresh for you which I really appreciated.Overall, I would recommend it and will come back back here in the future at some point.Next time I will stick to the Morcilla, Bolitas de papa and maybe some mofongoVegetarian options: I wouldn't come to a puerto rican joint for vegeterian fare.Parking: There's isn't much but you can find it. May have to waitWheelchair accessibility: It's all one level off the street, so yeah I guess so.“
“I’ve gotten food at this little restaurant once a week for about 2 years now. The food is incredible, the prices are very reasonable and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming to someone like me who doesn’t speak Spanish. 10/10“
“Good, fresh Puerto Rican food. Good servings for a very reasonable price. The "ambiance" can be improved. The pasteles (green banana/plataine pulp stuffed with savory pork meat cubes) are excellent. You can eat some there, then. buy some frozen ones to take home. Yum Yum!Kid-friendliness: It's a diner type setting where families from the community gather. Most kids stay close to their booths. I've been going there for years & have never seen or heard a child "act up" in a tantrum.Parking: I've been lucky to find parking on the street in front of the restaurant or very nearby. There's a parking lot on a corner across the street from Rainbow. I recently (12/2022) parked there on my way to NJ, to get some take out for my sister. My adult daughter waited inside the car in case someone (owner) asked fo payment. No one approached the car. I was in & out in 10 minutes.“
“The Food here is delicious! From breakfast sandwiches to cuchhifrito and now pupusas! All I can say is yummmmmmmmm. As a California girl, every time I come to the East Coast first thing I eat when a get to NY and CT is eat cuchifrito! This place is my go to in CT. The service here is great! Friendly staff and home made taste. The ambience is good. It would be better if there was a place to sit. It's carry out only. If you are looking for a delicious cuchifrito, or breakfast sandwich or even a pupusa, this is the place. The prices are very very reasonable. Love this place. I highly recommend it.“
“Been coming here for years, they have the best Puerto Rican food ? I live in another town but will always come here. Everything is always fresh, hot, and delicious. The people at the counter are so nice and sweet. I don’t speak Spanish but feel totally comfortable ordering. They’re the best!“
