“I was driving up Park Avenue as I usually do coming from work and I always see the grill master jerk spot van. I decided to stop today. I was interested in jerk chicken because I love jerk chicken. I’m originally from New York so it’s kinda hard to find good food like I’m accustomed to. I would like to say that Dex. is very nice. He has a good spirit for him. He asked me what I like, and I told him jerk chicken. He gave me a sample of jerk, chicken, his sorrow and carrot juice all were phenomenal. The carrot juice is the best carrot juice I’ve ever had in my 41 years of life being that my family is originated from Jamaica. I opted to get jerk chicken and the carrot juice. Everything was delectable and taste real good. Customer service was superb. I will be back. Thank you.“

I moved to Trumbull from Harlem 10 years ago and I’m always trying Caribbean restaurants in Bridgeport and New Haven. I’ve tried over a dozen and this was by far the best to me. I only eat seafood, so I loved that they had two fish options and shrimp ready to serve. Most places you have to order stewed fish ahead of time. I had the stewed fish and fried shrimp, and my husband had the oxtail. The stewed fish was the best I’ve had and the cabbage was perfection. The rice had fresh peas, not canned. It could’ve used a little salt for me, since I’m not a gravy on rice person, but some Scotch bonnet pepper sauce fixed that right up. I understand food has to be seasoned for everyone so I would not call this an issue. Everything was gone in less than 20 minutes! The ginger pineapple juice was very good too. Easy parking right in front. This is definitely my new go to spot! Will share photos next time.“

“We were here out of town for a church conference and wanted lunch. The chefs were very friendly, the food was delicious and the portions were generous. If we ever are in Bridgeport again, we'll definitely come back. I'd recommend anyone in the area to get authentic Jamaican food here.“

“Honestly the women who I assume owns it sense she’s always there, might be the most wholesome pleasant person I’ve met. Quick to draw you in with conversations and home vibe she puts into her restaurant. You can taste the pride in the food. Eye popping proportions too. Love this place“

“Was in town and stopped by here for some Caribbean food and it was amazing! They have ital (vegan) options for my plant based people and the owner was very accommodating as well as friendly. My second favorite part of the experience next to the actual food was the ambiance of the place, there was so much intention and loved poured into the layout of Reggae Goose. Very well done. “I took my breakfast to go. I got a small ackee and saltfish with dumplings. The food was bangin! I had a nice chat with the owner. It's too bad that this was my first time going in there. I love her dumplings, which to me are more like biscuits. I could eat that for breakfast everyday.“

“Fast friendly service and the food is always fresh and delicious. I love the clean calm atmosphere . Sometimes I even sit down and eat my food right there in the restaurant lol the unique menu keeps me coming back at least twice a week. The j burger and the p punk burger are must try. Don't forget the wings with the Crunch Fusion sauce ? always on point.

BUT idk who decided to change the patty recipe… but yall need to change it BACK! Went recently and there was not even an inkling of a flake, patty looked like a rock and dang near felt like a cement wall biting into it. The recipe before was elite and a flakey patty like what yall had before should be the standard.“

One day I went in and had the opportunity to have a conversation with one of the cooks and he was very kind and treated me like family. Would recommend 100%. They always have just what I come for which is something I can honestly say is hard to find around this area.“

“I love their Fried chicken every single time I go I get fried chicken with oxtail gravy! When I have events I order their fried chicken as well that’s how much I love it! I can’t speak for anything else but they’re fried chicken, it’s consistently juicy and not dry each time I’ve gone so I stick to it! And their rice is so airy and fluffy, not sure how they do it, but it’s good!“
