“I drive past this place often and decided to give it a try. The callaloo was very good and fresh. I'm used to having it prepared with saltfish, so a side of saltfish was added to the order. Mixed together the saltfish overpowered the callaloo. I now understand why they do not cook the saltfish and callaloo together. The ackee was prepared with saltfish and was good, but a little too salty for me. They give generous portions and lots of yam, banana, boiled dumplings, and plantains. The side order of fried dumplings was very sweet. The server was nice and patient. If you're in the area and craving Jamaican breakfast, this is a good place. I'll be back and look forward to trying dinner options.“

“I visited this place twice and enjoyed the food on both occasions. On my first visit, I had the rice and peas and jerk chicken, which was solid. On my second visit, I tried the rice and peas and kingfish, which was also good. However, the price of the kingfish seemed a bit high for the portion size.

Macaroni looks appealing, but it wasn’t very good. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Dumplings are good.

I will be back when in the area. I want to try their breakfast menu.“

“Usually I don’t trust high ratings with only a few stars but I tried today while waiting on some work to get done and definitely left full and satisfied. Can definitely recommend their stew and fried chicken. Will be returning when next I’m in the area.“

“Had JerkQ’zine cater the cocktail hour of my wedding this past weekend on 10.10.2020. I ordered many small bites including cocktail patties, assorted surprise dumpling bites, and fritters. I did not get to sample the bites as they were all thoroughly enjoyed by my guests! Contact information was also provided to many who asked. Thank you Jerk Q’zine for making my day successful! #jerkq’zine“

“Very good food, drinks (descent) and atmosphere. The owners are friendly and will accommodate you as much as possible. I remember my very first time going there it was my 2018 2nd Masters Graduation celebration. The owner surprised me with a nice setting with tables and covered chairs, great lighting and the aviance was breathtaking. My guest, family and I thought it was quite impressive. The prices are reasonable as well.“

“The curry chicken and macaroni and cheese was the best I ever bought from a Jamaican restaurant. The food tastes so fresh. I didn't get kanisha telephone number but I will be back. Too bad I live in the Bronx. She gave excellent customer service“

“Its rare to go to a jamaican restaurant and they have a full comprehensive menu with all items available 7 days a week. In most places they only serve certain items on certain days. Everything is available everyday here. And the taste is top notch. From now on, I will come here everytime I'm in NYC.“

“simply, just for the fact that you can order the famous Di Fara pizza from Brooklyn at this location, makes this certainly one of the best hidden gems in the neighborhood.
They also offer lots of different dishes from several different restaurants, making this a very interesting place to go for a meal as different. People can order different dishes from different restaurants.“

“The food here has always been outstanding, but I’ve noticed the quality slipping recently. Service is also consistently slow, which makes dining less enjoyable. I understand that restaurant work can be demanding, but staff should still maintain a sense of urgency and attentiveness to the overall flow of business.

The atmosphere is another concern. The space feels far too small for the size of the clientele, and it can come across as cutting corners rather than investing in customer comfort. Additionally, there has never been a customer appreciation event, which would go a long way toward building loyalty.

Lastly, the rising prices are difficult to justify without improvements in service, space, and customer engagement. I truly believe this restaurant has great potential, but to keep customers coming back, it needs to focus more on professionalism, hospitality, and value.“
