Ate here for the first time. Very nice owner. He chats and checks up on you often. Very good service. Cocktails and cocktails both available. As for the food, it was fantastic. I had a really good crab dish (4 little crabs) with a very good sauce. For an entree, I had a very good pasta dish with mushrooms and sauce. This place has a varied menu consisting of beef, steak, chicken, fish and seafood, salads, and sandwiches. Very relaxed, laid back restaurant. I hope to make many returns.

I visited a few weeks ago, we had the Brussels sprouts and they were amazing!!! I should’ve ordered three-it was perfect, the pumpkin seeds added a nice texture. Our waiter Walter was great, both the chef and owner greeted us at our table. I ordered the shrimp and grits and was very disappointed. Not sure if I’ll go back but I definitely will not be getting the shrimp and grits.

A terrific entry to the restaurant scene in downtown Bridgeport. Our reserved table was ready for our party of four on time, and we were greeted by and served all evening by an outstanding group of friendly and knowledgeable servers. We all ordered different items on the menu...pasta, steak, shrimp and grits (great) and everything was tasty and beautifully presented. Reservations are highly recommended...very busy Thursday thru Saturday. Looking forward to going back

My wife and I had a great time! Food and service were fantastic and the cocktails were out of this world! Rebecca was an amazing bartender! Loved the Carrot Top, broccolini, and curry dumpling soup. For entrees ordered the steak and my wife ordered the halibut. The halibut was incredible!Must visit if you are in the area looking for some elevated food and cocktails!

Ahead of Wolfpack vs Bridgeport Islanders my wife, adult son and I had the pleasure of dining at 29 Markle. When in Bridgeport it is the place to eat—super attentive friendly service, excellent atmosphere, and superlative food—both in the wonderful blend of spice and smoke and in appropriate well presented portions. Also the well designed cocktails were a delicious opening to the meal. The attention to detail—including the Chef taking time to check with each table to see that the meal is to the patron’s liking—was awesome! Will go back and heartily recommend!

Before even entering the place you get this rich smokey essence. Just amazing.. cute, quaint, romantic atmosphere. We had the scallops and risotto to start, spare ribs w/potato puree and the halibut with charred corn. The risotto was the best I’ve ever had. Took everything in me not to lick the plate. The fish with the roasted corn.. omg to die for. The braised short ribs.. just wow. SO FLAVORFUL.. The cocktails were superb. Can’t say enough great things about this place ❤️ We WILL definitely be back! What a gem

I've heard great things about this place and it lived up to the hype! The food was simply amazing! Really great combinations of flavors and seasonings. Everything was cooked perfectly. The service was excellent, our waitress was so sweet and made our whole experience even better! We will be back!

One of the best spots in Bridgeport! I was lucky enough to have Mike as my bartender and he was awesome. Great spot for a good drink and great food. The burger and old fashion were perfect!

tacos were an inspiring app and my short rib was inventive and delicious. My wife had the chicken and enjoyed it very much. The chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream was a bit pedestrian.
