Cool place to meet and catch up with coworkers. I had a cousin come into town and asked me to take him back here. Kinda of like a restaurant in Los Angeles I loved to visit.

I love this place. Menu is similar to a restaurant in El Paso I liked.

Birdman food is fresh and tasty, the drinks are crafty. Decor is chill with a southern juke joint feel. This winter the music choice was not a good fit for the atmosphere and general average customer age. If you want the dinner customer to hang out, I recommend a hip americana, alt-country/rock - less club music.

So many good things here - short rib grill cheese, chicken dishes, cornbread!!, potato cones, korean chicken sandwich. Good cocktails too. Kids love the homemade nuggets.

The sprouts, deviled eggs and whipped burrata were awesome. The chicken nuggets and potato cones were just okay. The prices are good. I really wanted to love this place and it's hard to put my finger on why it was so-so. We were a party of five and considering that we were the only ones in the restaurant, I thought she could have been more attentive. She was just blah. I think what put us off the most was that both the website and the menu they handed us advertised happy hour, but when we asked what the happy hour specials were, we were told they no longer offer happy hour. It would seem common sense to remove it from the website and reprint the menu BEFORE deciding to stop offering happy hour. I'd be interested to see if they are still around in a year from now....my bet is on "no".

The cornbread was the show stopper of the night, light, crispy and the taste had some depth to it aided by the honey-maple syrup and butter.

Place was pretty quiet when we went and there seemed to be one server manning the entire restaurant and bar. So service was a little slow. Food was good. The chicken was pretty good but the cornbread was amazing. Nothing incredible, we're not in any rush to go back.

Wonderfully decadent food, if you are on Weight Watchers this is not the place for you!! Fantastic ribs perfectly cooked large portions and extra sauce is on the tables, no need to ask for more. The wait staff was lagging and seemed distracted. My beer was warm, and a little flat. The desert menu desperately needs a reworking e could only find one thing worth ordering! But still this place is all about the food and if you are not in a rush and can deal with the slow wait staff you will be rewarded with great comfort food and a decent family atmosphere. Ohh almost forgot the corn bread was other wordly!! I would go back just for that.

Awesome place. Park in the Jetland lot. Deviled eggs are a must have. $3 bud tall boys at happy hour (7 days a week). Bottomless brunch. 10/10

Good food, good atmosphere. This place is great for dinner with a small group of friends. As a southerner, it's nice to have some good southern food up here! Also, the cocktails are great!

My second visit and had to write a review. My daughter and I had drinks and appetizers here back in September when my wife was out of town. This Saturday we both brought our spouses and had a wonderful lunch. They have done a great job capturing a Southern "eat place" concept in Bridgeport (Black Rock), CT. The chef has added a haute cuisine twist to southern comfort food. The deviled eggs are worth the trip! A breaded and deep fried egg white shell with a yolk mousse topped by a sprig of deep fried kale, served as a set of four in a cardboard egg carton. They have authentic fried chicken, fat back, fried mash potato "cones" instead of French fries, amazing Brussels sprouts with a bit of bitter and coleslaw with just enough sweet. My wife had a moonshine margarita that she loved and I had a Pabst Blue Ribbon on tap, on tap! Definitely worth a trip.

We have been looking forward to trying Birdman since before it opened, but didn't happen to make it out this way from Ohio until now. I understand that the Chef Chris is no longer affiliated with the restaurant, although the menu doesn't appear to have changed much, if any.

Stopped by a few weeks ago with friends. Review is for table service including food and drinks. Service: service was extremely slow. I normally don't complain about this but it was definitely below par. The bartender was doing shows and chatting it up while people at tables waited 15ish minutes for drinks. Food: delicious. Everything ordered was amazing and the options of bbq sauce is a nice touch. Definitely try the deviled eggs! they were the highlight of the meal. Drinks: Good selection of specialty drinks. The peach sour and blackberry smash are ones to try.
