It's going to be hard not to get off the highway when passing through Bridgeport while this place exists there. I've experienced the chicken roti 3 times now and still trying to figure out the next time I'll be passing through. Love it, love it. Perfect flavor and spice, fresh roti with dalpuri.
Authentic carraibean food, friendly staff! Love the tiny place! Amazing dal Puri and potato! The channa could have been better but the baras for the doubles were freshly made so I can't complain! Would go there again anytime!
Roti is an Indian whole wheat wrap that is very light and made differently from the plastic-y wraps and tortillas of most cultures. It is very hard to get right without a tawa or know-how. This place has the know-how. The fillings are sublime. I had vegetarian--pumpkin, spinach, chickpea, potato. I got the SMALL for under $5 and was able to eat it for dinner two nights in a row, as well as breakfast and lunch, but I'm not a huge eater. Wow. I was so impressed. The only roti...
