Food is different most other restaurants and much of it is fresh and well though of! On the waterfront plenty of parking in the gigantic lot! Secured by staff inside and outside! A safe place! Great place for boaters they have everything needed for them!! The bar has great bartenders no rookies behind this very big bar and history of photos around the restaurant on 1st floor and very interesting to see the creating of the Caltain's Cove's Restaurant and bar upstairs and very big and newer decks over the water behind the building and bands weekly and more on the big Deck and they are sone of the best bands in the county playing to great fans of their's and dancing too and singing alone with the bands they are mostly familiar with and show them LOVE & ATTENTION while they dance! It's closed now until early May usually don't miss opening week in May they are on Facebook and other website to say hello to all of you and welcome to see you there to enjoy especially with all the cool shoppes on the long boardwalk over the coastal waters with so many different types of creative SHOPPES! Are very interesting and not expensive, some really rare things and also shops that have the hosts that work for customers with painting art and it is very good they do well! And other that see and repair and create clothes and other cloth things, most are intriguing very much! Come see on a nice day you WILL really enjoy CAPTAIN's COVE SEAPORT, BAR and RESTAURANT! Keep an eye & eR out to learn about opening day they have a great website with all the info needed

We were here last Thursday for lunch. It would be hard to find a better view! Great fish and chips and scallops. Good drinks, although we had to carry them from upstairs, my SIL has a boot on her ankle. They are closing for the winter but we will be back when they open. So relaxing. They have music on the weekends. Looking forward to it.

The place is the same as always. The fish is surprisingly good though. The beverage upstairs is even better. Always worth the price

Cafeteria type setting. Order your food, they call your number when order is ready. Picnic tables outside with umbrellas to block sun since most tables outside. It's by the water so menu is seafood heavy. Food good, views of bay very pretty with little shops for tourists to browse. Minutes from Bridgeport ferry.

I happened to visit on a Wednesday, when they run a popular fish fry special for $6.99. The special includes one piece of fried fish, French fries and a small side of cole slaw. It was a perfectly sized portion for me, and it was cooked perfectly. Order at the counter, they'll call your number when your lunch is ready. I was able to sit outside at a table under an umbrella and enjoy the beautiful summer afternoon near the water. After lunch I took a walk around the area and found a cute row of little shops along the dock. They had a variety of art, clothing, crafts and gift items for sale. I wished that more of the shops had actually been open, but I suppose that they would be had I visited on the weekend. All in all, Captains Cove was a nice place to spend the afternoon.

I would like to say that I've been to Captains cove a few different times and I have to say I love the place . The food and drinks are always consistently good every time I've been there . Everyone is very pleasant and helpful. The owner is very respectful and pleasant to speak to . The big guy that's works upstairs , I think his name is Tavares always has a smile on his face and is very helpful and respectful to myself and my family and others . The security guard in the white shirt, was very respectful . I really love the place thank you for the experience .

If I could leave a 0 star I would. The Cashier tried to rob me and my 2 friends for $40 cash. She overcharged us and when we told her she acted dumb and then told management we yelled at her. She played the victim role and management was completely unprofessional and hostile the way they handled the situation. Horrible custom service, zero regard for hospitality. Im sure the cashiers here are robbing this place blind and the patrons as it's obvious from my experience today. We asked for a full refund and we left and on the way out we followed by staff who was trying to intimidate and Harass our friend group.

Went for dinner tonight since the weather was good. The line to order was very long. We parked at 6;45 and our receipt said we ordered at 7:12. 30 minutes later our food was ready. My fried oysters so much breading that it was hard to find the oysters. My husband’s fried clams were tiny and overcooked. We paid $24 and $18 ridiculous! Getting a beer from a waitress took forever because they have to walk down from the bar with a huge tray of drinks and deliver to all the tables. We are done here

Like most everything nowadays, Captain's Cove Seaport in Bridgeport has changed quite a bit. The crowds were much thinner today and there was no live music. However, we were greeted by three exquisite egrets. Two were in-flight, and one was playing hop scotch on the variety of spectacular boats on the docks. There are a variety of cute little shops, an ice cream store and one good restaurant with multiple floors. People were friendly, well behaved and handling the high temperatures and the intense sun pretty well. Everything was clean, merchandised and organized. There was plenty of parking available and it was nice to visit a spot I used to go to by boat when I was a teenager.

Great atmosphere in a Marina. After eating, there are several shops along a boardwalk that you can visit. Food was good. We had the fish tacos and fish and chips. Not bad at all. Plenty of parking.

Solid fish and chips ! I would pass on the lobster roll ( not worth the price). Nice view and plenty of seating. Come during sunset the ambience is nice!

The once star if for the beautiful view of the marina ...Decided to try this place once we were in town ... beautiful views and lots of space .We went to the upstairs bar where the bar is shaped like a boat , sounds interesting right ??! Well that's about it . We sat at the bar and ordered drinks , at that point they handed us a food menu so after a few minutes we tell the girl at the bar we needed to order some food . She than tells us we can't have food upstairs , we have to go downstairs to get food and come back up , I than asked her IF we could just go and order drink downstairs and she said no because drinks weren't served down stairs , she said well you can just go down stairs get your own GM food and come back up here is that simple ../ ( she said that with an attitude ) like people want to go to a bar but have to go elsewhere to get the food .. or go for the food and be going up and down the stairs to grab drinks .. seriously WHO DOES THAT ??! So I asked her why she handed us a food menu if food is not served upstairs ??! Her response was because there are drinks on the other side . Well than you should have told us that when you handed us the menu . The attitude was simply unheard of . Like it is our job to go up and down stairs grabbing things . RUDE !! JUST RUDE all the way .. GO ELSEWHERE..

I had to wait a 1/2 hr for my food. I kept asking what was taking so long and they said they were waiting on 1dish to finish. By the time we got our food everything was cold... food was very bland and not fresh at all!!!! Clam chowder looked like it was spoiling. No clams were in the chowder. Tired multiple times to get the waitress to come over to take our drinks. When one did come over she said she would be back and never did.. very disappointing experience.
