Love the bread here at Chaves Bakery. I usually buy in the mornings. My families favorite is their breakfast sandwiches warmed/toasted. They also sell cakes, pastries and coffee. We prefer the one on State Street in Bridgeport CT.

Let’s just say I stood there standing waiting for the lady to come acknowledge me .! Then I get home and my daughter is saying mami there is a spider in the cupcake I thought she was lying until I actually looked ! I ate a pastry myself I feel sick to my stomach do not get anything from this bakery . I checked reviews and it’s an ongoing thing in this place with bugs .

I now live in beaconfalls any time I'm down that way I make sure I go there and get hotdogs bums seedless hard rolls that are great it was just before lunch I got a sub with roast beef with sauted onions and little hot sauce warmèd it was really great. I also go to shelton that is good too

I stopped in Chaves yesterday to get a sub. Food is always great, but the two ladies who work the front counter are the most unfriendly, unprofessional sales people that I have ever met. They didn’t say hello or thank me for my business and acted like it was a bother to take my order.
I miss the older Portuguese ladies who used to work the counter. The two who are there now need to be retrained or replaced. I think that they would be better in the back of the bakery away from customers. They’re going to kill your business.

I came in to pay for an order I placed and buy a few pastry, I was waiting in like about 30 minutes. 3 other customers left and the young lady was just overwhelmed. It's sad that I want to support local businesses but the service is terrible. So sad!!!
the tables are dirty asf i asked if they can clean the table i got told “that’s not my job you can do it yourself”, & after i asked may i use the bathroom & she said if i were a customer which i were & she refused then began starting getting disrespectful again.
