I'm a taco fan, you could say... Fanatic is more like it. I'm GF/DF and traditional tacos go a long way with me. We actually have several good taquerias in the area, and I stumbled on this gem and had an amazing breakfast here the other day.I ordered a lengua, chorizo, and chicken taco as well as a mole poblano chicken tamale. They were all amazing, flavorful, and incredibly budget conscious.
Food was ok.. ordered tacos and nachos. Tacos ok, comes with mexican cheese, small portion of meat. No lettuce or tomatoes, soft shell.. nachos I ordered with beef and it had chips, black beans, mexican cheese.. the onions were on the side, avocado included. Also garnished with radishes. It was just ok.. I have had better..
The food was okay the prices were high for such small portions customer service is horrible there. They Do not wear their masks when they are cooking sometimes they touch the food after taking the cash and they charge for items that are not priced on the register. This restaurant needs to remember customer service matters if I'm paying for a service i expect to be served in a professional manner .
Not great but with price range it's not bad.
One of the worst quesadillas I think I’ve ever had. Tortillas were under cooked, steak, rice and beans were all tasteless && they used the some cheese that didn’t melt down nicely and also had no flavor, on top of that.. Maybe it was just the meal I got, might have better luck with tacos but quesadilla was definitely a no go. Better off with señor salsa or even Taco Bell
I stopped here expecting authentic Mexican food. I'm guessing that this was not it. I got a beef quesadilla and was violently unimpressed. The tortilla tasted fresh and was good overall. Cheese lacked flavor. The beef was insanely chewy and had no flavor at all. The only saving grace was the sauces. The sour cream was flavorless but creamy, the (what may have been) guacamole had some flavor but was watery, and the salsa was actually really good. Watery but flavorful with some spice. Unfortunately even taco bell offers a better quesadilla. The upside, restaurant is clean, staff is friendly, but it doesn't make up for the really bad food.
Staying at a VRBO in Trumbull and owner recommended this place. So we ordered some enchiladas for free delivery. Delicious!
Not as authentic tm as I expected chicken flavorless sause was the best part about my food
Great Customer Service! Seems like a family run restaurant. The portions were large and fulfilling. My only dislike was the rice; to me the rice had the looks and taste of hospital rice. Other than the rice, everything else was fantastic! Well worth my money!
Will never go here again, ive tried birria tacos at a couple other locations before heading here so i decided to give them a go. Charged me 12 bucks for the smallest tacos ive ever had, im not kidding. The tacos were no bigger than the palm of my hand, a complete ripoff.

Good portions, friendly waitstaff. To go orders.
Love authentic Mexican food. For personal experience I will bring my Family back, that's how much I like it.
I ordered chicken tacos from here today and they were not good! Chicken lacked flavor and was rubbery. Would not buy tacos from here again, have way better tacos in New Haven.
Wonderfully authentic and absolutely delicious!! Enjoyed a generous portion of pazole and barbacoa dinner. The chili verde and cheese jalapeno tamales were so fresh and good we bought 10 to go. The staff was very friendly and hospitable!! I would highly recommend El Rincon Dorado to anyone who appreciates authentic food!♡
