Drove there tonight from Norwalk because the site says they close at 10pm. Showed up around 8 and the place was already closed and locked up.

You cannot go wrong at Mamma WInnie's. Great Jamaican food prepared by great people. Mamma Winnie and O'Neal do a great as well as the others. Freshly prepared, reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. Unlike most ethnic food establishments Mamma Winnies is one of the few that gives you portions of carbs and proteins that are balanced making this place a healthy food choice. I don't like getting 8oz of rice for every 1oz of protein like they do other Jamaican restsurants, Columbian restaurants and others. Competition is stiff. You must try Mamma Winnie!

One of the best jamaican food spots in Bridgeport area. Never had a bad dish here. They have lunch specials, seating, a tv, and a clean bathroom and lots of little sweet things for sale normally. Very welcoming family run business. They offer catering as well.
