Stopped by when passing thru my old hometown. Just as good as I remembered. Taste, price, sauce, sausage (don't get me started!) but to me it's all about the texture - just the exact right spot between chewy and crunchy.

Chicken parm grinder is pretty pricey at almost $17.00 dollars and at best is a 5,6 rating. Bread was falling apart and almost all full of sauce. Chicken was very very thin. NOT WORTH THE PRICE!!!! Pic for proof.

My wife and I were traveling through Bridgfield and asked at a local gas station for a recommendation for a restaurant for lunch. Mario the Baker turned out to be a fabulous suggestion. We had no idea we'd luck out and be dining at a true Italian restaurant with classical dishes beautifully done. My Clams Casino was absolutely over the top. Two large clam shells overflowing with chopped clams in a stuffing, topped with a delicious lemon and white wine sauce, and garnished with asparagus, capers, and peppers. My wife's crab cakes included mushrooms, roasted red peppers, and asparagus in a cream sauce. The service was warm and welcoming, and we highly recommend Mario the Baker.
