Stopped by when passing thru my old hometown. Just as good as I remembered. Taste, price, sauce, sausage (don't get me started!) but to me it's all about the texture - just the exact right spot between chewy and crunchy.
My wife and I were traveling through Bridgfield and asked at a local gas station for a recommendation for a restaurant for lunch. Mario the Baker turned out to be a fabulous suggestion. We had no idea we'd luck out and be dining at a true Italian restaurant with classical dishes beautifully done. My Clams Casino was absolutely over the top. Two large clam shells overflowing with chopped clams in a stuffing, topped with a delicious lemon and white wine sauce, and garnished...
Showed up for lunch with a large party of 11, no reservation or warning. The waitress could not have been more accommodating. She was awesome. Food was excellent. Service A++. Highly recommend.
