The food is delicious. You will wait a bit but the staff checks on you to make sure you're okay or if you need refills on drinks. They're also very accommodating if you ask for something that isn't on thr menu. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming.

Worst experience ever.. walked in and nobody greeted us or even acknowledged our existence. It Was a complete ghost town (this should've been a red flag tbh) not a single worker in sight for the most part and when we did see one they were unapproachable. Waited 30+ minutes for two salads and In the end there was nothing we asked for in the salad. We paid extra for cheese that wasn't even added on..instead we received two tiny pieces of shredded cheddar (yummm :|) and my partner had bones in his salad. Bartender was cool but two non alcoholic drinks were $7.50. This place was culo. I rate it less then zero stars.

Excellent experience. Chef Pierre and his staff outdid themselves. Eve was a great host. Food and service top notch. What a great time, they treated us like family. Best salmon I have ever had. My friends filet was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend.Parking: Street parking

Stopped here to eat while in Bridgeport for Brad Williams' show at the Stress Factory. It's a tucked away gem. I ordered the filet mignon , and Chef Pierre came to the table to tell me he had picked out a special cut of beef for me. It was perfection! Grilled good and rare, and so so tender!Staff was very personable. My friend and throughly enjoyed Metric.

When I'm in CT that's where I got my Haitian food & drinks. Chef Pierre take care of business and even re-open the restaurant back up after it was already closed for us to celebrate my brother's birthday ?. He's a good man and a leader/pillar in the community. Come support & see for yourself. ?????Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant in on the ground floor, very easy access for anyone

Metric Bar and Grill is an amazing restaurant which is inviting, due to the Chef and the delicious food. My favorite food to order is the seafood, red snapper to be exact. I’ve referred my friends and family to dine there. Chef Pierre greets his customers with a smile, which makes the dining experience worth the drive.Thank you Chef Pierre!

If you want authentic Haitian Cuisine made with integrity and care, then you have found the right place! This Chef cuts no corners. It's either done the right way, or no way at all. Absolutely DELICIOUS! And not to mention comedy night and an open dance floor with local DJ's on Fridays and Saturdays with hookah and a full bar? It's the best of both worlds. I found my spot!Oh, and please try their "PATE KODE" with the fiery piklis!!! (It's the smoked herring with eggs one for me?)You won't forget or regret it!????

My husband surprised me by taking me here one evening, because I have lamented about the lack of Haitian food in New Haven. Haitian food requires a lot of time, love and effort so it's nice to be able to pick something up when you don't feel like spending hours in the kitchen. Being from NY, I am definitely spoiled with Haitian culture and cuisine! But I was pleasantly surprised to learn of the Haitian community in Fairfield county. The owners at Metric are such a delight. I believe the restaurant has been here for 20 years. The husband Pierre is originally from the L'Artibonite region in Haiti where my family is from. And our region is known for our delicious rice and fresh produce that is the heart of the country's cuisine. His wife Eve is not only stunning but she makes great drinks as well. I ordered the legim (vegetable stew) with diri kole (rice and beans) and banan peze (fried green plantains/ tostones). The portions were generous, but most importantly, the food was very good. Everything was so fresh, made to order and many of their ingredients come from the Bridgeport community garden. The legim contained the eggplant that a community member brought in just an hour before. And the fried okra that we sampled came from there as well. The familiar sound of kompa was music to my ears. Pierre even gave my husband some samples of tassot (fried turkey). If you're Haitian or familiar with Haitian cuisine, ask for dishes even if you don't see them on the menu, they can accommodate you. It was also heartwarming to see the non-Haitian regulars enjoying our food and culture. They make American dishes like pizza, but when you come to a Haitian restaurant, you come for authentic Haitian food and I believe they do that well. Haitian food is not fast food so prepare for that. We enjoyed the family vibe and were in chill mode. The hospitality alone would make me come back.

Great food and the best bar made Old Fashioned I've had in a long time. I went late and there was just a few people there, but the food was fabulous. The waitress Eve was also the cook and the bartender as well! Will return next time I'm in Bridgeport.
