We needed a place to eat near the Hartford Healthcare Amphitheater in Bridgeport, Ct and by luck we got reservations at Ralph ‘n’ Rich’s which is one of the finest Italian Restaurants that I have ever eaten at. This restaurant is a 5 minute walk to the Amphitheater where we were planning to see Deep Purple and Yes. The staff was outstanding and catered to our every need. Excellent as always. From the minute you walk in the door, the service is great. We had shrimp cocktail that were huge and cooked perfect. The cocktail sauce had horseradish on top that gives it a special kick. My husband had short ribs and I had chicken Marsala. Yum. Oh and the Caesar salad was perfect. This restaurant is the most consistently excellent place to dine.
I don't get to Ralph & Rich's enough.
I'm usually there during the less busy lunch hours, which is what I prefer. When I say less busy, I just mean that there aren't a ton of people at the bar.
This place has a solid reputation and groups are always either gathered in the bright, back table area or outside, like today when the weather is great.
