Shah's Halal Food - Bridgeport

Finally a place in Chicagoland that does the Halal chicken and rice the right way. I also tried the chop cheese which was authentic out of Brooklyn. This is the only place doing it right in the area. Today was probably my 8th time there since they’ve opened. Great place, keep it up. *The other new place is all show and no taste or class for that matter.

They were friendly and the service was fast. That was the best burger I’ve had in a long time. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle… 👌🏽 (chefs kiss)

Everything was very fresh and tasted terrific. The portions sizes were appropriate for the price. The staff was above and beyond friendly.

We come from NY, where there is Halal options on every few blocks. Our expectations were high and quite honestly didn’t disappoint. The prices are fair & the customer service is extremely amiable. The place is clean, despite it getting busy. The only thing I didn’t like and that’s just my taste, was that one of the sauces have too much vinegar. Hard to tell which one since I had all three and I exceeded myself when I asked them to put twice the portion since it’s how I usually order in NY. Next time I’d just get regular portion sauce because despite that it’s delicious. I’m just the type of person who doesn’t put dressing on salads cause I can’t stand the vinegar smell. Anyways both my husband and I loved it.

I recently visited Shah Halal at Cypresvägen 4, and my experience was disappointing. The wait time exceeded 30 minutes with no clear queue system, and it was frustrating to see guests who arrived after me being served first. Ultimately, I had to give up without being served.

First time trying to food from the time I enter the restaurant, it was good customer service from what I experience. I ate the lamb and the chicken over the rice and sauce it up the server Nike was cool

Very unpleasant experience....all the servers were not wearing the gloves....and treated very rudely...there are 2 indian guys and 1 Spanish guy working.... Mario is like he is serving free food that's how he behave very rudely as there was not that busy....nick the Indian tall think guy was not wearing gloves....it seems like I was getting food from some Indian Street.....most important the rice is like rubber and very hard to chew....my head is hurting after chewing that rice.....

Great fresh food, a clean space and exceptional customer service. Honestly the food was 10/10 but the service was 14/10. I’ll be coming back. Jasmine is awesome!!

My husband isn’t vegetarian, but does lean that way. Was really great seeing they had various toppings—black beans, chickpeas, falafel and hummus.

Tried Shah's for the first time today in the new store in Mt. Pocono. It was Delicious.

I order using Uber eat and they gave half of food. Uber price is higher then their in-store price . Food quality was not good as well. In store thay care more about it . No sauce was in it. I attached my Uber receipt price and the store price. I had to go to store for half of the order to pick up .

Avoid this location at all costs.

Over time, the quality here has steadily declined. In contrast, the new locations in Stratford and Orange offer much better service and maintain higher food hygiene standards. Unfortunately, the Bridgeport location seems to rely on undertrained staff and every week new employee is present with a new type of bad attitude, no proper food hygiene is followed, i have seen employees going in the bathroom to use phones and started giving food with unwashed hands. This impacts both the food and overall experience.

I ate from here about a dozen times in last two years but more recently, twice I got stomach aches right after eating from this place.

Stay away, no food safety manager ever present.
