My fiance and I went into Vazzys for lunch in search of dinner for our upcoming wedding. We were greeted by the most wonderful people, Johny the owner, Cindy our server and Krissy who is in charge of catering. The hospitality and warmth and friendliness and help we got was really incredible and not of anything we have ever experienced before. After talking with Krissy we were given the most generous amounts of food to try. Everything we tasted was so delicious and we knew immediately this was the restaurant we were going with. The chicken marsala, chicken scarpiello, stuffed bread, meatballs, mashed, bread vegetable are recommended! Fresh, juicy and truly just authentic Italian food. We are really hard people to impress when it comes to food and we left full, satisfied and so happy to have this crossed off our list. We are having a cook come to make some filet mignon and everything is being delivered and taken care of. I'll leave another review after that date. They aim to please and go above and beyond.

I'm conflicted, the dining experience was BAD. Had reservations for 2 since it was a Saturday night and figured it would be a good idea but we had to wait about 30mins for a table. That wasn't the worst of it though, there was a party going in a private section of the restaurant which was insanely loud, had to have been like 80 people. Glad they had a private area. But then, in the main dining room was another party of 40 at a long long table. They were there far before we got there and I'm sure long after we left but it wasn't wasn't a good space for a party because no one could get by them, and they were walking around visiting each other and standing in the walkways. Inches from our table at all times. Felt so bad for the staff that had to squeeze by all of them every few mins. They really should have had to book a private room! Our food was really good though. I had chicken Marsala and my boyfriend had chicken parm. We got a house salad to start. I loved the ice cream tartufo options, I got the almond one! Yum. Just not a good date night experience I'd come back on a weeknight instead. Staff couldn't have been friendlier! The hostess was a young girl and handled the crowds and the people waiting really great!! She needs a raise :)

Vazzy's (the Original Vazzy's in Bridgeport) is our go-to restaurant. There are plenty of pretentious pasta restaurants if Fairfield County, but none can compare in quality/taste/value/service/atmosphere to Vazzy's. Almost immediately following your warm greeting by the host/hostess, a basket of the most delicious freshly baked bread and cheese bread, olives and peppers are placed on your table. Everything on the menu is delicious, but my wife and I always go to Vazzy's when we crave a dish of pasta. The varieties are plenty. The serving sizes are huge and generous. It is heartening to know there are restaurateurs who truly care about their diners. Go!

The food was good as usual. The server took over 20 min to acknowledge us. What's more frustrating is the young lady never once acknowledged us even though she was serving a couple directly in front of us and came to their table multiple times. Two other tables were sat after us and were acknowledged before our server came.

The Rustica was too watery and no where near as good as the Vazzy's on Main Street in Stratford, service was adequate for the crowd we had but the dining area we were in was too chaotic with pick up service.
