Food was good, but the lady seemed annoyed for some reason. I hope she’s ok.

Unfortunately, this place has changed over the years (since Covid). Customer service has never been their strong suit but the food was usually good (except for a time or two). They must have changed chefs or ownership. The jerk chicken needed more time on the grill for the seasoning to cook through, tasted like the seasoning was just added, asked for jerk sauce and brown stew gravy, got neither. Curry chicken was too salty and not well seasoned. Rice & Peas was too soft and not enough cabbage (the mixed veggies are unnecessary), plantains should come with it. Lunch special cost increased but the amount of food decreased (smaller container), make it make sense. Shrinkflation at its finest. If the prices increase, the taste and quality should also increase but sadly it has been the opposite. I wasn’t greeted or acknowledged but the next customer behind me was while I was still at the register gathering my order…I will not be returning.

these people gone to the dogs. i dont know why they change cooks but the food is so tasteless i cannot even eat it. I will not be going back there again. customer service is not friendly at all and the place is so nasty. they need to close down this nasty place immediately.
Order two meals there after my total was $28.98 guy cash a additional misc item just because he did not want to give me my change I left sat in car and let me tell you food was terrible rice was what we Jamaicans call placka placka chicken tasted overnights was a big disappointment husband ate the salmon from his but could not eat the rice and that’s normally the first thing that leaves his plate
The jerk chicken is Fantastic and well priced. Authentic Jamaican food, made by Jamaicans, run by Jamaicans and an experience that makes your visit feel even more authentic. I usually eat mine out of the container on the hood of my car or back of my truck.

If I could give this less than 1 star, i absolutely would. In the past, this place was really good. Now, I feel like I have given this place 1 too many chances and their rice constantly disappoints me. The rice tastes like it’s at least 3 days old. It tastes stale. I didn’t even know if stale could be a taste but they made it possible. I am completely flabbergasted as to how such an establishment is still standing. Their Brown Stew Fish was utterly disgusting. The “stew” was so thick, it felt and tasted like straight up ketchup. I wiped as much of the “stew” off, hoping to salvage the fish but the fish was over cooked. I even took it up another notch and added Matouk’s Hot sauce to it and I still couldn’t get the food down. The cabbage was probably the only possible good thing on my plate and even so it wasn’t seasoned. I absolutely hate wasting food, and yet I had to throw my plate out. I feel like I was bamboozled. The workers were decent. Not nice but not rude either.

My husband an I love Jamaican food. However this place was not the place to go to. They discriminate and are very racist. There was Sign on window that said $6 lunch special. My husband went in and ordered the jerk chicken lunch special. When he confirmed how much it was, the employee goes on to say $12. when my husband questioned and asked why does it say $6 on the sign outside, the employee said “ that’s not a price for you man “.My husband confused but still goes on to say it says $6 on the window lunch special, the employee just continues to say “ yeah and I just told you that’s not your price man”!Not an ideal way to run your business.
