Jamaica kitchen in Bristol Connecticut is very good! The stewed chicken and jerk chicken was very tender, with lots of flavor. Staff was very friendly and helpful.We would highly recommend!

As an event coordinator for our program, I had the pleasure of working with Milton from Jamaican Kitchen to cater a meeting we hosted in December for 55 attendees in Hamden. Although the nearest Jamaican Kitchen location was in Bristol, Milton kindly agreed to deliver the order to Hamden, going above and beyond to accommodate our needs.
Having previously enjoyed their delicious food for a smaller group at the Hartford location, I knew Jamaican Kitchen would be an excellent choice. Milton was instrumental in helping me design a menu that fit within our budget while addressing the dietary restrictions of some attendees.
The menu included rice and beans, steamed cabbage salad, sweet plantains, mini cocktail chicken and beef patties, jerk chicken, and vegetarian stew. Milton delivered the meal ahead of schedule, and everything arrived warm, neatly packaged, and clearly labeled—making service seamless. His professionalism, positive attitude, and responsiveness to my various inquiries made the entire experience stress-free.
The attendees were thrilled with the meal, with particular praise for the cocktail patties. If you are looking for authentic Jamaican cuisine, exceptional service, and a reliable caterer, I highly recommend Milton and Jamaican Kitchen.

We had Jamaican kitchen cater a party this weekend. For over 35 guests! It was a pirate themed party so we wanted to have Jamaican food to go with our theme. The food was fantastic. We had more than enough food to go around and the people at Jamaican kitchen were so helpful in making our party a great success! Special thanks to Lisa for her patience and kindness working with us! I highly recommend Jamaican kitchen! Their food is awesome and their people are just as awesome!!!!

Our first time eating Jamaican food. We appreciated being able to order portions according to our appetite. I had jerked shrimp with rice and beans. It was spicy, but not unpleasantly so. My wife said her fried chicken was juicy and tasty. I'll be trying the sweet and sour tofu next time.
Vegetarian options: Not a large selection but dishes were labeled as vegan or vegetarian.
Parking: Entrance to parking area is from the main street and exit around the building unto a side street.

There is nothing good to say about this place. Rude service, if you get service at all. There was one man behind the vibe who was actually helpful, but I was ignored twice before he finally took my order. The people who ignored me also ignored my friend and instead tried to take the order of the people behind both of us. I ordered curry goat, half pound. I got a half pound box of bones. My friend ordered sweet and sour tofu and barely got anything for his portion. If you like rude service and terrible food, then you've found the right place.
Vegetarian options: I don't recommend anything this place makes.

Nice place with great service but the food was unfortunately such a disappointment. The chicken was so dry I literally could not even eat it. Usually jerk chicken is succulent, aromatic, and drenched in that amazing sauce - this one had a bit of seasoning on it and it was literally the driest protein I’ve ever had in my life. I don’t usually post negative reviews but I don’t know how a Jamaican restaurant can serve this
