The outdoor space is extremely well decorated with greenery hanging plants. The food is equally delicious with outstanding lobster, salad and special of PEI muscles. Paragraph salads are Lodge, enough to share save room for a visit to the ice cream concession.
Greenhouse Café & Tavern is absolutely gorgeous, the kind of place that makes you want to sip something fancy and pretend you're in a garden party scene from a feel-good movie. We picked the beautiful outdoor seating and were ready to relax, enjoy the view, and catch up. Unfortunately, our server Wendy had a stopwatch in her soul. We had been seated for maybe ten minutes before she was already nudging us to order apps and entrees. She circled back three separate times like we were in a speed dining competition. I kindly let her know we weren't in a rush and were looking forward to enjoying the setting. Her response? And I quote, “Look, I know it doesn't look busy now, but there are people that need to sit here after you.” Ma'am, it was 4:15. The maitre d' had just told us no one was scheduled to sit at our table until 6:45. We weren't exactly holding up the dinner rush. To top it off, Wendy split our checks incorrectly, and when I called her over politely, she looked me right in the eye and just walked away. That was a new one. Thankfully, another kind server stepped in and helped us out. Now the food was still tasty, but noticeably different from when we ate there the Friday before. The salad was completely different, and the scallop and shrimp risotto was more like shrimp risotto with a surprise cameo of scallop confetti. It tasted good, just not what I expected. We spent about $200 for an early dinner for two of us, so I would've loved to enjoy it without being rushed out like someone else's reservation was more important. We were a party of five, not exactly nursing a single side salad. The place clearly makes great money, and for good reason, it is stunning. But if you're going to create such a beautiful atmosphere, let people enjoy it without feeling like they're being ushered out of a museum exhibit. Great vibe. Beautiful spot. Just hoping next time the service matches the scenery.
Great time dining under the tent on a gorgeous summer evening. Great food and drinks. Server was excellent. And we even hit a half price oyster event. And the oysters were great.
Beautiful outdoor venue for brunch. Good service. The table top mimosa towers were very popular.
It was really nice. Good atmosphere. Food was good. But for one cocktail one salad with a protein and sharing half a dessert I paid over $80 just for myself.
Nice spot to eat outside on a warm summer night! Foods always good not fancy but not bar food either.
I would definitely come back. But have to comment that the food is consistently over cooked. Medium steak is barely pink- but I didn't send back as we were with friends and hubby's salmon also overcooked. Please offer bottle mineral water and herbal teas as drink options!
Meatloaf, mussels, and pasta were good, but the chicken pot pie had little chicken and the crust was a tough puff pastry. For dessert, the peanut butter bread pudding was very good. Our server, Emily, was personable and informative, and had a big impact on making our lunch very enjoyable.
Very nice enclosed patio area for outdoor dining. Staff was very attentive and when the wrong meal was brought to the table they made sure to bring the correct meal out quickly. Pretty grounds and nice ambiance for a spring lunch. Family friendly
First time there and had to park in a small bumpy dirt lot by a working barn! Then we were seated in a tented Greenhouse of sorts with hanging paper lanterns for decor. It felt like a make shift space for an event rather than a restaurant. Awkward space with no privacy - kids running around or crying. Family friendly for sure! Popular local place (nothing else in the area!). Uncomfortable little metal chairs and plastic water glasses greeted us. Odd. Food was good with interesting menu. Prices are city expensive for such a casual, rural restaurant in Burlington. Drink menu was limited and pricey too. Dessert menu was average so we passed. Staff was friendly and helpful. We may try again but not in that room.

This restaurant is a hidden gem! It was our 3rd time! Quaint, comfy & cozy! It was beautifully decorated in a Christmas theme.bFood was delicious and was very affordable! Can't wait to return.
Decorations for Christmas were beautiful. The food was pretty good. Nothing to complain about. I will go back again to try something different. Service was a little slow, but all in all good place.
I had the Tavern Burger. It was excellent. Our waitress was very attentive and the restaurant was still beautifully decorated from the holidays.
We had a fantastic experience from the moment we arrived. The online reservation process was seamless and we were seated promptly upon arrival. The restaurant's warm, cozy, and inviting atmosphere was beautifully decorated. Our waitress was extremely helpful, attentive, and offered excellent suggestions. The food was outstanding and the drinks were exceptional! We can't wait to return for another visit. This hidden gem is definitely worth stopping by.
