Not somewhere to go out with family and eat bc no room no dining room and not enough staff to accommodate and it is a very small place but the food is ok it's not the worst and not the best but it's good. It's definitely frozen food warmed up or it has been previously prepared and warmed up as you order. The bread for the grinders doesn't seem to be freshly made but they are good. The salads are ok. The lettuce on mine was not at all crisp and the tomatoes weren't ripe but I guess that's to anyone's discretion whether or not they like that. There is a lot to choose from on the menu but like I said it's not made fresh daily. Prices are a bit high but understandable bc they do give a good size portion.
The BEST pizza I’ve had in a long time! Born and raised in CT, I moved to Ohio in 99 and the most missed food is pizza! Max’s pizza is so delicious and their crust is perfection!!! I will have to get myself a pie to nibble on for the long drive back to Ohio. I swear, no the pizza compares to Connecticut pizzerias!!!!

Our company placed a large order today. Five pizza's and 4 side orders. When I called to confirm they received my order I was told I also receive a free pizza for ordering 5. They asked if I wanted it today or credit for next order. I said I would take it today. The side orders never arrived nor did the free cheese pizza. When I called I was told I would have to go get the side orders and that it was my fault I didn't get the free pizza because I didn't say I wanted it.They were so rude that is was enough to assure I never go back and we order weekly from my company.

Anybody that had negative reviews try again a whole new crue working there now outstanding best it's ever been and I been eating Max's since the first restaurant for 40 years plus you won't be disappointed 5 star's great staff thanks Alex ?
Ordered in advance. Arrived and was told 5-10 minutes. 35 minutes after arriving I walked out with 2 cheese pizzas. Nothing complicated. Will not go back here.

Best pizza in CT! Staff is quiet but never any issues. Prices seem fair, not fantastic, but you're paying for great quality food! Whenever I visit CT, we make Max's a must!
