This deli is an absolute disaster! The staff is incredibly rude and seems to have zero regard for customer service. Not only that, but the wait times are ridiculously long – it feels like you could grow old waiting for your order. And to top it all off, I caught a glimpse of bugs crawling around in the kitchen. It's safe to say I won't be returning here anytime soon. Avoid at all costs!

Gluten free Blueberry pancakes were amazing, and the sandwich I took home was even better!

Perfect small town place. We are always greeted and the owner always asks how we are doing. The blueberry pancakes, Baja chicken wrap and hamburgers are my favorites.

The older woman who works there (the owner I presume) may be one of the nastiest people I have come across in food service. Do not waste your money supporting people like this who treat customers like straight trash. People work hard for their money and should be treated with respect while they are out for a meal. Go across the street to Industry Kitchen and Bar for better people and a better experience.

Went back to Connecticut recently to attend my mother's funeral where I grew up in North Canaan where this deli is located. I met my mother's best friend and her family for breakfast. The staff was pleasant, the food was a bit pricey, but good, waitress never came around to fill up our coffee and the place was not busy.. $67.00 for four people ...

Olivia and I love our breakfast dates at the olde school deli. We've started getting lunch too, and it was been awesome. Good people and good food!

The food is excellent! They have the best egg sandwiches and paninis! Having said that, the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. During a recent visit, my plan was to place and order and return to pick it up. I stood in front of the register for more than 5 minutes without even being acknowledged. I totally understand being very busy with other orders and all I was expecting was for someone to say something to the effect of "we'll be with you as soon as we can" but not a word was said to me. After feeling invisible for 5-10 minutes, I chose to get lunch elsewhere, definitely a shame. Food is 5 stars, customer service is zero stars.

One of the best spots in North Canaan! Burgers are excellent, sandwiches are so fresh tasting, the fries and chips made there are sooo good. Favorite breakfast sandwiches too - bacon, egg & cheese on a hard roll! Everything is consistently yummy and the people who work there are friendly and quick. Super family friendly! Oh, and - suuuuuch good coffee!

Un-hygienic, miserable staff(one in particular if you have ever visited you will know who I'm talking about) constant fluctuations in pricing without proper updates to menu and to top it off refuses to allow service dogs as well. Many other greater dining establishments to get breakfast food at in the northwest corner

Great food. Always fresh. Always plenty of food. Great service. I drive down from great barrington to get breakfast several times a month. Well worth it. Highly recommended.

Never got to the food. Actually watched the server have a temper tantrum about where we sat. First time. Last time.

Been in this deli several times. The older woman is very unpleasant. The younger woman came to my table with a mask on. I had to ask for the dressing that was supposed to be on my sandwich which the young server appeared annoyed. When I requested a 3rd cup of coffee, the young woman told me curtly, it would be added on to my bill! She delivered a black coffee. I don’t drink black. I then had to ask for more milk for my 3rd cup of coffee. The additional coffee charge which I have never paid anywhere else on the planet, got translated into her tip! She screwed herself out of it.I only pass through the town from time to time. Apparently they appear to only want to cater to locals.I will not be returning but expect they don’t care. The toilets are filthy. The business needs a drop in health inspection.
