Saybrook Fish House Reviews
Food was very good, no issues. Our waitress Sophia on the other hand was not and is the reason for my 1 star. Her service while acceptable was not great. We left 15% and she had the nerve to come back to the table and ask directly if that was the correct amount we wanted to give her. Unprofessional. She is lucky i didn't ask for the 15% back and request to speak with management. DO BETTER or find a new line of work.
Great outdoor patio ! Excellent food! Shrimp cocktail was fresh , great cocktail sauce .
Extremely nice restaurant and staff. The food and drinks are amazing

Saybrook Fish House offers a warm and friendly atmosphere, different from its more formal Rocky Hill location. The staff is attentive and welcoming, with the hostess often filling multiple roles in the restaurant. The New England Clam Chowder is good, though some customers feel it could have more clams and fewer potatoes. The fried clam strips are a highlight, being light, crispy, and very fresh. The lobster roll is praised for its perfectly cooked, fresh lobster and generous portion. Fries are beer-battered and crispy, and the cole slaw is tasty, though some wish it came in larger portions. The baked scallops surprised one diner with their quality, despite not being served as expected. The shrimp scampi was noted as different, but still enjoyable. The restaurant offers a variety of seafood dishes, including lobster, mussels, clams, and different types of fish, along with some land options for those who prefer non-seafood choices. It also has a decent wine selection, sangria, and mixed drinks. The prices are around $100 per visit with drinks included, and the standard of quality remains high, making it a recommended dining spot.
