We visited this pizzeria with friends we were visiting. This was the first time I had a coal fired pizza. I'm told coal fired cooks at up to 1000 degrees giving it a crisp, airy taste. I really liked it. The restaurant's strength is in takeout. The sit-down section is minimal. Also, they don't serve beer or wine. This may not be a problem for some folks.
We moved to the area about 2 years ago and were in search of a good pizza. Look no further, this place knows how to make a good pizza. Their pepperoni is good, and their sausage and peppers are as well. Good ingredients. My family liked it.
I really wantecto love this pizza. Been going to New Haven for 50 years. Cosl fired is my absolute favorite. I was being generous by giving it four stars. I know how hard it is being an independent Restaurant owner. The cheese and sauce were very good. The problem I had the dough was not crispy, even though the edge was black, which I have no problem with, but there is no crunch. It was like the dough was either dead, or it was too early in the proofing process. Or maybe this...
