What a cute town. Lovely time walking around browsing and taking in the vibe. They've planned well for visitors. Signs for public bathrooms, and free parking. And no problem finding a spot in the lot. Well positioned garbage and recycling bins along with a receptacle for used pizza boxes. They even have a Wish Phone. Best part though was a private home had a 1920s band practicing in the yard.

Was visiting from out of state to see family & always look forward to shopping downtown! However in the process I realized one of my purchases was gone.Since it was close to closing time, I could not go back to the previous 2 stores I had been. The associate from The Lark was most helpful in trying to see if I had set it down there while still in the store.The 3 merchants, from The Lark, French Hen & the Perfect Pear were so helpful in trying to track down where I had left my purchase! As it turned out...a lady found my package & returned it to The Perfect Pear! What a great caring community of merchants looking out for one another as well as the kind woman finding my package! Chester is a special place with wonderful shops, restaurants, local attractions & a caring community!

this is a wonderful little CT town, it's frequently my little place to hide away for the day. my polk around place. my sit quietly at one of my favorite restaurants place. my always "stop in" at RJ Vickers Herbery for a leisurely wonder around the beautiful garden, shop and just be place. love, love, love Chester, CT....thank you to all who make it such a great little town ❤
