“What a beautiful evening we had at the Village Bistro!! The atmosphere was beyond charming! We were pleasantly greeted and the service was exceptional (rare nowadays). The menu choices were original, with a wide variety of options. Everything we had was exceptional! The pricing was consistent with other restaurants of this caliber. Whether you’re there for a quick, after work meal, or, you’re celebrating a special occasion, you will find some thing on this menu that will suit your moment. A must try!! We highly recommend the Village Bistro!!”

“Honestly originally came here thinking it was a typical tavern. Left having one of the best food experiences I have ever had! “If I was rating our experience based on our first time going here, it would be 5 stars. Our second visit was not as great as the first. Unfortunately the service lacked, incredibly, our second time here. We watched our waitress go above and beyond for all tables seated around us (similar to the waitress our first time here). When our waitress got to our table, she didn’t ask if it was our first time dining with them (as we’d heard her ask 2 other tables), she didn’t offer to explain any of the specials (as we’d heard her tell the other tables), her demeanor and tone visibly shifted from cheery to monotone each time she got to our table, and she didn’t check in with us throughout our meal. It was incredibly odd. Maybe she wrongly assumed since we are on the younger end of their typical clientele, my husband is covered in tattoos, and we had our young child with us, that she wouldn’t be tipped well?! Not sure. But her service definitely left us with a sour taste towards Grano Arso, which is so unfortunate since we enjoyed our first visit there. My husband left her a 40% tip as he usually does when we dine out; perhaps she won’t be so judgy towards others in the future.”

An Italian style charcuterie board, shrimp cocktail, mini lobster rolls, herb roasted salmon, Korean style barbeque chicken, corn salad, roasted sweet potatoes with veggies, fruit, cookies, and - of course - crack bread. The guests just raved about the food. Highly, highly recommended!!!”

“Hungry after a few hours at Gillette Castle, we were looking for lunch/dinner. We had a wonderful experience at Pattaconk! Our waitress was friendly and attentive to my dietary needs (Celiac’s). We had a burger, quesadilla & Nashville chicken stripes. My burger had a gf bun & was delicious, husb & daughter loved the stripes & quesadilla. Restaurant had a nice, chill atmosphere, everyone enjoying drinks & food. We will be back when out in the area.”

“My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary and were absolutely blown away. We tend to end up with less than stellar dining experiences and service, but the Brushmill was outstanding! The service was impeccable, they congratulated us on our anniversary (which was a note on the reservation) and gave us a complimentary Prosecco toast to start the evening. Our server was top notch, we never found ourselves in need of a thing. We started with drinks after the Prosecco toast- a mint greyhound and a tequila old fashion, both of which were well balanced with beautiful presentation. For the appetizer, we got the scallops…. Out of this world! Our server commented they were his favorite, and after trying them it’s no surprise! This may have been the best scallop dish I have ever had. If you go, GET THE SCALLOPS and thank me later! For dinner I had the pasta dish and added chicken to it and my boyfriend had the steak frites. The chicken was juicy and perfectly seasoned. The brown butter sauce was light and flavorful at the same time and the hazelnuts in the pasta dish paired beautifully with the brussle sprouts and sage. My boyfriend’s steak was cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth. The amazing meal and service were complimented by the absolutely beautiful building. We both love the rustic industrial vibe, pairing the history of the building and the elegance of the atmosphere perfectly. We will definitely be back and telling all our friends about this hidden gem. Thank you for being a stupendous addition to our evening.”

“My wife and I stopped in today and ordered a Catprese and the Calico Club, along with the shrimp corn chowder, which were all delicious!! The owner Mark was very nice, asking where we were from and what brought us there. I explained we were on a daytrip to CT and had seen good reviews and buzz on Google. We were also curious about the "cat cafe" experience and he said we'd come to the right place. After we finished our lunch, we were taken to a separate room with six adorable (mostly sleeping but still loving) cats and proceeded to give pets and loves!! Thank you for the great experience, Mark and staff, and we will DEFINITELY return in the future!!”

“My friend and I visited Chamard Vineyard & Bistro. We had a lovely wine tasting in their tavern. We dined on Roast Duck and had a luscious white wine followed by an outrageously delicious Crème Brûlée. Their chef is phenomenal! I could eat his cuisine every day.
Chamard has an amazing staff. They are attentive but never pushy. Our waiter was outstanding. We found out that Jacques Pépin had dined there the night before. I would have loved to have seen him. What an incredible man and chef. We're looking forward to revisiting Chamard soon.

Vegetarian options: There are a few interesting vegetarian options. The Bistro is very accommodating, and I would imagine the chef could do his magic.

Kid-friendliness: I wouldn't recommend young children under 12 unless they have an extraordinary palate. 😊

Wheelchair accessibility: There is disabled parking and wheelchair accessibility. The driveway is stony.”

“My husband and dined here for the first time last evening. We both savored the experience. From the moment you walk in the door, you know that you are in for something unique. The cocktails, especially the white Negroni, were excellent. The food was top tier. I had one bite of my husband’s halibut and fell in love. I opted for several starters. Oh! To be a mussel luxuriating in that broth! Ceviche portion was HUGE and clean and fresh, lobster risotto was so creamy and warm. I wanted the entire dessert menu, but selected the frozen soufflé, which was light and dreamy. An night out like no other! Thank you chefs!”

“I thoroughly enjoyed lunch yesterday at The Curry Queen. Saag Paneer, Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Vindaloo plus a Naan. Since living in the area from 2019, I hadn't come across any Indian restaurants until I saw the sign for Curry Queen. I thought Indian food would be only something I could get in larger New England cities. I was wrong. This food tasted great and I'll be back.”
