We've been there for brunch. Outside patio, terrific service, varied menu. Best ever bloody Marys. Soon after, we brought friends to dinner. Really disappointing. Martinis were truly "tiny" although pricey. Server seemed inattentive although we suspect she was waiting on too many tables. Not her fault. Entrees were just OK. We plan to return to give another try.

Perfect location in the most charming small town. The food was flawlessly prepared and absolutely delicious. The prices are insanely reasonable and the waitstaff was ultra professional. Not stuffy or pretentious. Casual and very enjoyable. I broke my “no chicken in a restaurant” rule and couldn’t be happier about it. Get a table and enjoy, and make sure Maureen is your server.

Perfect 5 stars! So how does this happen?? The location nestled among Chester's little main street provided a perfect dinner atmosphere. The interior of the restaurant takes you out of CT and let's you be someplace else with dim lighting and copper topped tables. Service staff was super friendly and timely throughout the entire meal. The most important part, the food and drink! Chef Everett Reid created sensory experience hitting a home run on the eyes, nose and taste from the appetizer through dessert. Every item was cooked to perfection and presented the same way. The wine selections couldn't have provided a more seamless combination to what you just ate. All in all this is what makes a perfect 5 star dining experience. Even if you're not close to Chester, CT find your way there... this is a fantastic restaurant!!

Really delightful atmosphere with a cute french evening feel. The food overall was plated beautifully and the fusion menu was flavorful. The food itself was tasty. The pomme frites definitely stole the show...spot on flavor.

HFC is an absolutely lovely experience! What a beautiful location and the best food and drinks. I recommend sitting at the bar with Bob if you can! The deviled eggs, HFC chicken with creole french Mac and cheese, and bourbon smash were amazing. The hot sauce is HOT.

Hot French Chix has a lovely atmosphere. It's cozy and candle lit, and decorated with cool antique touches. We were greeted upon arrival and received friendly, attentive service throughout our evening. My husband and I started our meal with some fresh bread with a homemade Boursin spread. The bread was tasty but the cheese was oddly sweet. I ordered the shrimp etoufee and he had the General Tso's chicken. He found the chicken too spicy, so he subsequently ordered the duck poutine. The General Tso's had a bunch of Thai chiles, which was a strange touch. The etoufee reminded me more of jambalaya. The sauce was more broth-like instead of a gravy. We found the best entree to be the duck poutine. The duck was tender and the cheesy frites were decadent. I wish our other orders matched our expectations. That being said, I would consider trying Hot French Chix again. They have a menu that reads very well, and I love French/Creole food. You can't beat the setting - a beautiful place in picturesque Chester.

Been here 5 times this month while working on our Millhouse Chester downtown airbnb - love the Caesar salad, burgers and hand cut fries. Linda always has a great wine selection and suggestion and the service is on point with Moreen's help. Love the Hot French Chix!
